KSUAE international students took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Unknown Soldier monument

Annually, on 9 May, Russia celebrates its significant Victory Day, when the Great Patriotic War ended in 1945 by the victory of soviet army over fascists. Every year for all Russian people it's a festive day.

On May 7, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, KSUAE international students from the CIS and far abroad took part in the solemn flower-laying ceremony at the Unknown Soldier monument in the Kazan Central Park. The event was organized by the Regional Youth Public Organization "Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan" together with the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. Together with representatives of the multinational youth of the republic, foreign students paid tribute to the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the Eternal Flame. They also listened with great interest to poems about the war read in different languages ​​of the peoples of Tatarstan. The purpose of the ceremony is to preserve historical memory, foster patriotism in the younger generation and strengthen the unity of the multinational people of our region.

KSUAE ceremonial event in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory

On May 6, 2025, a ceremonial event was organized at KSUAE in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The event took place at the monument to the students and teachers of the university who died in the Great Patriotic War, the memory of whose heroic deeds we carefully preserve. In anticipation of the big event, the monument to the fallen was renovated and reconstructed, the area around it was landscaped.

The event for May 9 brought together university veterans, the rector's office, teachers, employees and students. The event began with the performance of the anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. This created an atmosphere of patriotism and unity, reminding everyone of the significance of this date for our country.

A column of students lined up with portraits of war participants who worked at KISI-KSUAE for many years. By doing so, the young people once again confirmed that the memory of the heroes will live in their hearts and deeds.

Vice-Rector D.M. Kordonchik congratulated the participants on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. He emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and respect for the exploits of ancestors, on which our present is built.

The event participants honored the memory of those killed in the war with a minute of silence. Flowers were laid at the monument to the fallen, symbolizing eternal sorrow and gratitude for their feat. The university students sang songs of the war years, their voices sounded with a feeling of deep respect and gratitude. This created a special atmosphere of unity and involvement in the great history of their country. The event ended with the traditional collective performance of the main song "Victory Day".

KSUAE International students visited the expositions of the National Art Gallery "Khazine"

As part of the educational program on May 6, students visited the National Art Gallery "Khazine" in Kazan.

Students from Turkey, Tunisia, Mauritania, Morocco, Ecuador, Peru, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Turkmenistan got acquainted with the following exhibitions of the gallery:

1. Exposition of works by the great Russian artist Nikolai Ivanovich Feshin (born in Kazan) from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The exhibition presents works from the Kazan period of the master's life. The pearl of the collection is his portrait gallery and canvases dedicated to scenes of the life of the peoples of the Kazan province.

2. The exhibition "Fates Carved in Stone" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition combines fine art, sculpture, archival materials and multimedia technologies. It presents works created by both direct participants in the hostilities and post-war artists who sought to convey the full drama of the events.

3. The exhibition "Life and Work of Baki Urmanche", an artist and founder of Tatar professional fine art. The museum exhibits the master's paintings, sculptural portraits, illustrations for Tatar fairy tales. The exhibition also presents the artist's personal belongings.

Russian first-year students of KSUAE helped to understand the content of the works presented at the exhibitions as part of their educational program in the Russian language. They led international students through the exhibits, dividing them into small groups, stopping at the paintings and telling about their meaning. During the excursion, foreign students actively learned and practiced new Russian artistic vocabulary.

The international students were delighted with their visit to the gallery and expressed great gratitude to the organizers for such an opportunity to touch our history and culture.

KSUAE together with the company "CSoft Kazan" held a series of master classes on working with BIM tools

The Scientific and Educational Center of KSUAE "Digital" together with the company "CSoft Kazan" held a series of five master classes on working with modern BIM tools - the Model Studio CS and CADLib Model and Archive software line in the following areas: building structures, engineering systems, electrical engineering and integrated project management.

The event brought together more than 200 participants, including representatives from 20 specialized companies, teachers and students. Leading experts in the field of digital design shared their practical experience in implementing information modeling technologies on real projects in Tatarstan.

As part of the master classes, the participants not only mastered new skills in working with professional design software, but also got acquainted with examples of using BIM technologies in local projects. Of particular interest were the prize draw among the most active listeners and exclusive tours of the KSUAE campus, where they looked behind the scenes of science and innovation: - visited international-level scientific and educational centers; - visited modern laboratories; - saw advanced equipment in action; - got acquainted with KSUAE research projects.

76 International Conference "Sociotechnical construction": section "Urban development and planning of rural settlements"

Within the framework of the 76th International Scientific Conference "Sociotechnical Construction" in the scientific, educational and design center of KSUACE "Urban Planning" a meeting of the section "Urban Planning and Planning of Rural Settlements" was held.

The conference brought together teachers, students of all levels of training and even schoolchildren who are passionate about urban studies. The event became a platform for discussing current issues in the development of urban spaces, presenting research projects and reports on grant activities. The conference covered a wide range of topics - from the revitalization of industrial zones to the creation of a comfortable environment in historical settlements and demonstrated the continuity of scientific generations. The teachers presented reports on grants and project activities.

Postgraduate and master's students shared the results of their in-depth research. Bachelor's students demonstrated their professional and competitive developments.

Schoolchildren presented a new view on the improvement of urban public spaces problems of the urban environment. As part of the Sirius.Summer project, schoolchildren of grades 7-10 developed a concept for the placement of new creative industry facilities to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of Kazan.

The conference demonstrated that urban development in the 21st century is a comprehensive approach that combines traditional methods and advanced technologies. In this context, equal importance is attached to both engineering solutions and the preservation of cultural heritage and the architectural and historical value of territories.
