"Heritage of the Great Victory": KSUAE hosts a scientific forum and events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory

On April 16, 2025, the scientific forum "Heritage of the Great Victory" began its work at KSUAE, within the framework of which events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory will be held. The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by teachers and students of KSUAE, Kazan universities, and research fellows of academic institutes.

The plenary session of the V All-Russian (with international participation) scientific conference "Historical Memory and Modern Science: Problems, Discussions, New Views" took place. The head of the Department of History and Philosophy, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S.I. Nikonova introduced the participants of the conference: the program includes more than 60 reports by scientists, young researchers from 10 regions of Russia, as well as from the Republic of Belarus.

At the plenary session were presented the following reports: "The Importance of Historical Truth about World War II" — Head of the Department of National History and Archival Science of Kazan (Perm) Federal University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.A. Litvin; Historical Truth about the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945): Fight against Falsifications" — Director of the Research Institute of Social Philosophy of the Kazan University, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor O.D. Agapov; Tatar Frontline Newspapers and Their Importance in the Fight against Falsification of the History of the Great Patriotic War — Senior Researcher at the Institute of History named after Sh. Marjani of the Tatar Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor I.I. Khanipova. Then there were meetings in the following sections: "Historical Memory in the Context of Modern Worldview", "The Problem of Preserving Collective Historical Memory in the Modern World", "Resources of Historical Memory Against Attempts to Falsify National History".
