New Speaking club "Let's speak Russian" for KSUAE international students

The KSUAE Department of International Relations and the KSUAE Association of International Students (AIS) initiated the new Speaking club “Let's speak Russian” for all KSUAE international students.

The first meeting of the club on the topic “Let’s get to know each other” was held on December 14 in the friendly and cozy atmosphere of the academic center “Urban planning”.

At the opening of the club, Rector Rashit Nizamov and Vice-Rector for Education I.E.Vildanov greeted all the participants of the meeting, wishing them interesting and useful communication in the club, as well as improving their speaking skills which will help them in their future studies.

The meeting was attended by KSUAE international students from Ecuador, Algeria, Turkey, Chad, Benin, Peru, Angola, Yemen, Guinea, different courses and specialties, with different levels of Russian language proficiency, including students of the preparatory course of the Russian language. A pleasant surprise was the fact that students of preparatory courses from other Kazan universities, who plan to enter our University next year, also became interested in the meetings of our club.

During the meeting, the students got to know each other and talked about themselves, their country and their interests, additionally asking all the questions of interest to their interlocutors. This contributed to the creation of a friendly atmosphere and the enrichment of cultural horizons. Students actively used conversational Russian language skills, developing communication skills. Some students have already found new friends!

The club was created for KSUAE international students with the aim to overcome the language barrier; immerse in the atmosphere of the Russian language; practice speaking; expand vocabulary; learn the specifics of Russian speech and grammar; get acquainted with the culture and traditions of Russia and other countries; find new friends. Each club meeting will be devoted to one specific topic.

We thank everyone who attended the first meeting and look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting in January!

The conversation club “Let's speak Russian” welcomes new participants and invites all interested foreign students, as well as Russian students, to join the club.
