KSUAE took part in the II International St. Petersburg Historical Forum

On October 10-16, 2022, St. Petersburg hosted the II International St. Petersburg Historical Forum, which brought together more than 1,000 historians, archaeologists, art historians, museologists, and ethnographers from 25 countries.

The forum programme includes more than 80 scientific and educational events: scientific sessions, conferences, round tables, exhibitions and open lectures, united by the theme "Dialogue and Interaction of Cultures in the Post-Soviet Space".

The Forum organizers: St. Petersburg State University, State Hermitage Museum, Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Head of the Department of History and Philosophy of KSUAE, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S.I. Nikonova made a presentation at one of the forum venues - at the conference "USSR in the 1970s: results of development and prospects", and also took part in the panel sessions "Problems of teaching history in non-core universities" and "How to study and teach the history of the post-Soviet space and other events.

KSUAE hosts schoolchildren for campus tours

Choosing a profession is one of the most difficult in a person's life. It is doubly difficult for yesterday's schoolchild to navigate independently in such a diverse world of different specialties, higher educational institutions, where you can learn your favorite business.

The experience of many years of communication with applicants at the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering has led to such a format of interaction as tours of the university campus.

In the first two months of the academic year alone, about 500 guests from schools of Tatarstan and Russia visited the university. About 500 more school graduates and their parents visited the Open Doors Day at KSUAE in October.

We have repeatedly convinced ourselves of the correctness of the proverb: “It is better to see once than hear a hundred times.” Indeed, visual information is perceived faster and easier, what we see with our own eyes is more important to us than what we hear. There are more and more people wishing to visit KSUAE, because for many a personal visit to the future place of study becomes the key to choosing a profession.

On tours of the university campus, we demonstrate our research and educational centers: "Strength", ВFFT.space, "Systems", "Technologies", "Roads", "15", "Urban Planning", "Digital", "Heritage", "ArchPhysics", "Base", "Development". All centers are unique in their architectural and design solutions, design features, and content. From the project to commissioning, they were implemented with the participation of a team of teachers, students and employees of KSUAE, equipped with modern laboratory equipment, the latest technology. The new centers are the best demonstration at the university of the close connection between theoretical education and practice. The centers are points of attraction for student activity, scientific thought, and social activity.

Scientists and students of KSUAE took an active part in the International specialized exhibition-forum "Road 2022"

From October 12 to October 14, 2022, the International Specialized Exhibition-Forum Road 2022 was held at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Center. The exhibition-forum "Road" is the largest industry discussion platform in Russia, which brings together authoritative international experts and key representatives of the Russian road transport complex from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor), the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, manufacturers of road construction equipment and materials, representatives of science and business.

For three days, plenary sessions, thematic conferences, seminars, presentations of the largest industry companies were held at the venues of the exhibition-forum. The pavilions of the large-scale exhibition showcase advanced models of road construction equipment and materials, road service facilities and street lighting.

Rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov, Vice-Rector for Research E.A. Vdovin, Director of the Institute of Transport Structures A.Yu. Fomin, teachers, graduate students and university students took part in the exhibition having organized the exposition of KSUAE with the implemented scientific and innovative projects of the university in the field of road construction, digitalization in the road transport complex, as well as the development of practice-oriented road education.

II International Construction Championship: victories of students of KSUAE in the national team of Tatarstan

On October 5-8, 2022, the II International Construction Championship was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. This is an annual event that brings together a competition of professional specialists in the field of industrial construction, a business program and an exhibition. Established by the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the State Corporation Rosatom on February 20, 2020, it is carried out with the aim of expanding the economic integration of Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of industrial construction. The first Championship was held in 2021 in Sochi.

In the framework of the championship, the participants were divided into 2 leagues: the league of students and the league of professionals. Professionals from such leading Russian companies as Rosatom, Gazprom and leading design and construction companies of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the league of professionals, and 26 leading teachers and young scientists of KSUAE were involved as jury experts. Thanks to their qualified refereeing, the winning and prize-winning places went to the strongest participants.

Students of KSUAE took part in the student league of the Championship in individual nominations and team nominations as part of the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Our students took 1st awards in the individual categories "Information Modeling", "Design of the architectural and construction part", "Design of the technological part", 1st awards in the national team nominations "General construction works", "Best construction site".
