The winners of the competition for projects of the new research and academic center “Geodesy” have been determined

From February 8 to 16, 2024, a design seminar was held at the Urban Planning scientific and educational center to develop a project for a new scientific and educational center "Geodesy".

In the projects presented, the guys thought through not only the facades and layout, but also the landscaping of the surrounding area, interior design, and night lighting of the facades.

All five projects turned out different, each with its own interesting techniques and features. However, the competition still had to determine the winners:

1st place was taken by the team led by Elvira Faizrakhmanova in the following composition: students of group 0AP02 Daniil Fakhretdinov and Ilya Egorov; groups 0AP04 Nikita Gerasimenko and Liya Galiullina;

2nd place - team led by Egor Mitkin: students of group 0AP03 Ekaterina Bobrysheva, Diana Abdulazyanova, Nailya Shakirova, Arthur Tazetdinov, group 0AP07 Renata Demina;

3rd place - team led by Dilyara Kalimullina: students of group 0AP01 Sofya Afanasyeva, Eleonora Kiper, Amina Abdullina, Elizaveta Ezhova, Diana Fattakhova, Milena Amirova.

We invite you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Polymers in Construction”

Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, together with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of PJSC Sibur Holding, FAU Federal Center for Construction of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences and JSC Tatnefteinvest Holding is holding an international scientific and practical conference on the use of polymers in construction "Stroypolymers-24".

The conference is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of V.A. Voskresensky - Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professor, rector of the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute, founder of the first department of plastics among construction universities of the USSR.

The information partner of the conference is the Construction Materials magazine.

The conference will take place on May 20-23, 2024 at the Department of Technology of Building Materials, Products and Structures of KSUAE.

Conference topics:
1. Structure and properties of polymers and polymer composites.
2. Production and use of polymers in construction (PVC, PE, PP, PS, PC, epoxy and other types of thermosets)
3. Functional polymer materials (in thermal insulation, waterproofing, finishing and decorative materials, profile moldings and pipes, structural polymer materials and products)
4. Modern plastic processing technologies, equipment
5. Third generation polymer composite materials. Smart and intelligent materials. Additive technologies in the production of polymer composites. Digital twins of materials and polymer products.
6. Sanitary, hygienic, environmental problems in the production and use of polymers in construction.
7. Secondary polymers in construction materials.
8. Durability of polymer building materials, accelerated testing methods. Fire resistance of polymer materials.
9. Building structures based on polymer composites (experience in production, manufacturing and operation).
10. Polymer materials in road construction.

April 20, 2024 – last day for accepting abstracts;

April 25, 2024 – announcement of the conference program;

May 10, 2024 – end of registration for in-person conference participants and listeners;

May 10, 2024 – deadline for accepting presentations of plenary and oral reports, stands;

Architectural students began developing a new research and academic center "Geodesy"

On February, 8, a project seminar on the development of a new scientific and educational center of KSASU “Geodesy” was launched at the research and academic center “Urban Planning”.

The design seminar involves 4 working groups of the Department of Theory and Practice of Architecture (TPA) and one working group of the Department of Architecture.

After the official opening, the guys headed to the hostel for a detailed study of the design object, and then continued their sketching work. The results of the project workshop will be presented in a week, on February 16, 2024.

Rector's congratulations with Happy Day of Russian Science!

Dear teachers, staff, graduate students, students,

Please accept congratulations on Russian Science Day!

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated April 25, 2022 No. 231 The years 2022-2031 are declared in Russia as the Decade of Science and Technology, 2024 marks the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and KSUAE with its scientific schools creates popular scientific, technical and innovative developments for scientific and innovative support architectural, construction, road transport and housing and communal services industries.

The formation of an international-level campus is successfully continuing at KSUAE. 18 scientific and educational centers, sites and spaces of international level have already been created, the best in their field in terms of equipment in the Russian Federation, in which practice-oriented education is implemented at all levels of training, which really makes it possible to combine scientific research and an innovative educational environment, to attract masters and graduate students to real work.

In 2023, new scientific and educational centers “Digital Roads”, “Security”, “Development” were created at KSUAE. At the beginning of 2024, with the participation of HEad of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, the scientific and educational center “Flows/Potoki” was inaugurated.

On the basis of scientific schools, the scientific and educational centers, KSUAE scientists, within the framework of instructions from government bodies, economic agreements and government contracts in the interests of business, are carrying out R&D that is relevant for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, the results of which are being implemented in real construction production today. The effectiveness of the architectural scientific school of KSUAE is confirmed by the achievements achieved in 2023-2024 and victory at prestigious competitions in the USA, Vietnam, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, where KSUAE almost exclusively represents our country in the international student competition space. 

Four scientific projects of KSUAE became winners of grant competitions of the Russian Science Foundation and a competition of youth scientific grants and awards of the Republic of Tatarstan (organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan).

Students and graduate students of KSUAE actively participate in the “Student Startup” competition of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform”. In 2023, 20 KSASU projects became winners of the competition. In terms of efficiency, KSASU is among the top five universities in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the past 2023, 6 scientific conferences were held at KSUAE, incl. with publications in highly rated scientific and technical journals.
The university has received 43 patents for inventions and utility models, and filed 62 patent applications.

In 2023, a new Dissertation Council 24.2.309.02 for scientific specialties 5.10.3 was opened in KSUAE Types of art (technical aesthetics and design) and 2.1.11. Theory and history of architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical and architectural heritage.

In 2023, 4 new electronic scientific journals began to be published in the areas of scientific activity of the university, included in the RSCI database. The magazine “KSUAE News” confirmed the highest category K1 from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission.

There is no doubt that in 2024, declared the Year of Scientific and Technological Development in the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with Decree of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan dated September 14, 2023 No. 639, the coordinated and creative work of the university’s scientific schools will ensure the achievement of new significant results in scientific and innovative activities!

I wish the university staff new achievements and scientific victories on the Day of Russian Science!
