The International Seminar for Road Industry Specialists “Silk Road 2024” has started at KSUAE

From December 1 to December 7, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Silk Road" is being held at KSUAE on current issues of road construction market development, modern technologies for the construction, repair and maintenance of highways.

The organizers are: Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE), Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University (MADI), FAU "ROSDORNII", Association of Producers and Consumers of Asphalt Concrete Mixtures "ROSASFALT", and other specialized associations.

The grand opening of the seminar took place on December 2 at the KSUAE multifunctional center "Forum". The participants of the seminar and guests of the university were greeted by the KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan A.V. Chukin, heads of leading road construction organizations of Russia and Tatarstan.

The main topic of the seminar was "Efficient solutions and quality assurance in the production of ABS according to new standards". The plenary session discussed current issues in the field of production of domestic road construction materials and products, development and expansion prospects under sanctions, construction of the M›12 "East" high-speed highway, implementation of modern approaches to road quality management, etc.

The report "Scientific and educational centers as a basis for practice-oriented road education at KSUAE" was made by the Vice-Rector for Research and Development, Head of the Department of Highways, Bridges and Tunnels E.A. Vdovin. The Director of the Institute of Transport Structures of KSUAE A.Yu. Fomin devoted his speech to materials based on secondary products and industrial waste, sulfur-containing road construction materials. An updated training program will be available for participants of the largest road intensive course in Russia, including presentations by industry scientists, experts, representatives of the largest road construction companies, as well as suppliers of road construction materials and equipment.

The first group of students completed the KSUAE new course on water supply and sanitation

The KSUAE Department of Water Supply and Sanitation held refresher courses on the new program "Water Supply and Sanitation of Buildings, Structures and Populated Areas". The program of courses was developed for specialists in the field of water supply and sanitation in the amount of 250 hours.

The program includes the following modules: - water supply and distribution system; - water intake structures; - water treatment facilities; - sanitary and technical equipment of buildings; - wastewater collection and disposal systems; - sewage treatment facilities; - pumping stations of water supply and sanitation systems.

26 specialists from Kazan organizations completed the training.

The course took place in the laboratories of the scientific and educational center "Flows" and ended with the presentation of final qualification works. The ceremonial submission of diplomas for the additional professional program "Water supply and sanitation of buildings, structures and settlements" to students took place on November 29, 2024.

KSUAE hosted the IV All-Russian Conference of Young Researchers “Historical Memory and Modern Science”

On November 28-29, 2024, the IV All-Russian (with international participation) scientific and practical conference of young researchers "Historical Memory and Modern Science: Problems, Discussions, New Views" was held at KSUAE.

More than 40 researchers from Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Donetsk, Pskov and other cities, as well as foreign students, submitted applications for participation. The conference was attended by students and young researchers from different Russian Universities.

At the plenary session, the participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Research E.A. Vdovin, who noted the relevance of the research presented at the conference, the importance of being able to resist attempts to falsify national history, the need to preserve the historical memory of the people in the modern world.

The conference summed up the results of the Regional Open Competition of Student Research Papers "Heritage-2024", which included more than 50 works by students, school and college students in the following nominations: "Creative Project" and "Scientific Project". E.A. Vdovin awarded the winners of the competition with diplomas, noting the merits of each work.

In the sections: "Historical Memory in the Context of a Modern Worldview"; "The Problem of Preserving Collective Historical Memory in the Modern World"; "Resources of Historical Memory against Attempts to Falsify History" young researchers presented interesting reports devoted to current issues of modern history, problems of preserving historical memory in the modern world, the need to resist attempts to falsify national history.

The best reports are recommended for publication in the SI “Humanities in the 21st Century: Scientific Internet Journal.

KSUAE organized a master class “Magic from Plaster” for future applicants

A fascinating master class "Magic from Plaster" for future applicants - students of the Kazan College of Construction, Architecture and Urban Economy was held at the university. The event included an introductory tour of scientific and educational centers, during which the guests learned a lot about modern technologies in construction, and also received up-to-date information about the conditions for admission and further education at our university. The main stage of the event was a fascinating master class held at the Department of Building Materials by senior lecturer Aidar Khuzagaripov.

The children managed to combine creative and research work, discovering the properties of air binders. In the process of making products from plaster, the participants got acquainted with the method of determining the standard consistency of gypsum dough, as well as the setting time of the gypsum binder. The result of the master class was a pleasant bonus for each participant in the form of a memorable souvenir made with their own hands. As experience shows, such meetings with potential applicants help to increase interest in the areas of training at KSUAE, which allows young people to make the right choice of professional activity.
