Young scientists are invited to the II OIC Youth Scientific Congress in Kazan

If you are engaged in scientific research in such areas like:
- well-being and education,
- international law and society,
- biomedicine,
- oil and gas technology,
- architecture and design,

Then you are welcome to the II OIC Youth Scientific Congress in Kazan!

The Congress is the international dialogue platform in the Republic of Tatarstan involving young researchers from Russia and OIC countries in the scientific dialogue aiming at the technological and innovative development of all participating countries.

Location: Kazan/Tatarstan (Russian Federation)
Date: November 8-11, 2023

Who can apply:
✅ Young people from OIC member and observer countries, including Russia. OIC - Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Number of its members - 57 countries.
✅ Age from 18 to 35 years old
✅  English at level B2-C1
✅ 1-2 page abstract of the scientific article within one of the areas of the Congress (attached to the application)

KSUAE student Veronika Korotkova became one of the best in the All-Russian urban competition “City Plan 2023”

Veronika Korotkova, a 3rd year student at the Institute of Architecture and Design of KSUAE, took part in the final stage of the All-Russian youth urban competition “City Plan - 2023”, which was held in the city of Nyagan, Khanty-Mansi Region of Russia.

Our student was among the 30 best participants selected from 300 applicants at the online stage. Veronica submitted a concept for the improvement of the 4th microdistrict in the city of Nyagan to the competition.

Over the course of three days, the finalist teams completed the semi-final competition concepts, assessed by leading specialists and experts in the field of urbanism, and took part in the final defense of their projects. “I was able to reach the finals of the competition and take part in real design for the city thanks to studying with excellent teachers of KSUAE, who set practical tasks for students and encourage them to participate in competitions, as this is important for a future architect,” says Veronika.

The goal of the All-Russian competition “Plan for the City” is to train young specialists under the guidance of experts in the field of territorial development; Thanks to working in teams, participants acquire competencies in issues of urban planning, environmental design, and architecture.

KSUAE students took part in the All-Russian Running Day “Cross of Nations 2023”

KSUAE students took part in one of the largest sporting events in Russia - the All-Russian Running Day “Cross of the Nation 2023”.

The race was organized on the territory of the Uram extreme park on the Kremlin embankment and in the Yudino residential area at the Lokomotiv stadium.

Together with the students, teachers from the Department of Physical Education and Sports, took part in the race. Absolutely everyone reached the finish line and many showed good results.

The Association of International Students (AIS) of KSUAE took part in the XI All-Russian Congress of Foreign Students of Russia

On September 14-16, 2023 Kazan hosted the Congress bringing together over 300 delegates - foreign students from 34 Russian Universities, representatives of 42 countries of the world, as well as employees of federal and regional legislative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation, Russian universities, public and other organizations.

The Association of International Students of Russia (AIS) started its work in 1996 and today unites about 100 thousand people from more than 160 countries studying at Russian universities.

The Congress is aimed at attracting the attention of government authorities to the existing problems of foreign students in Russia.

Our Department of International Relations and representatives of the Association of International Students (AIS) of KSUAE (students from Chad, Kazakhstan, and Benin) took part in the events of the Congress.

On September 14, the official opening of the Congress took place. The event was opened by the President of the AIS of Russia, Issa Shaabo, who said that at the Congress the association sums up the work done and outlines plans for the future.

The founder of AIS Russia, General Director of Incorvuz-XXI, ex-ambassador of the Republic of Benin to the Russian Federation and the CIS countries Anicet Gabriel Kochofa said that Kazan is his hometown. “Here I took part in the opening of the Universiade in 2013, met with students, the President of Tatarstan, rectors, and residents of the Republic. Every year I visit Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan at least 2-3 times,” recalled the founder of AIS. Kochofa, who has been living in Russia for 42 years, spoke about the history of the creation of the AIS of Russia, noting that at first it included only four foreign students. At the end of his speech, he said that it is necessary to strengthen friendship between peoples and believe in Russia.

During the Congress the KSUAE reppresentatives participated in different project sessions and master classes on socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students in Tatarstan, opportunities for foreign students in Russia, their present and prospects, on interaction between foreign student associations and national-cultural communities.

On the official ceremony all delegates were presented with participation certificates.

At the end of the Congress all participants enjoyed a wonderful final concert with the participation of local creative groups of the Youth Assembly of, the League of Students of Tatarstan and the Association of Foreign Students. And of course there would be dancing.

The Congress provided us an opportunity to make friends with foreign students from other Russian universities, and now we plan to work together to improve the lives of foreign students in Russia.
