KSUAE teachers and students took part in the session "Traditional architecture" of the International scientific forum
On October 9-11, in Kazan the International Scientific Forum is being held, and students of the KSUAE Institute of Architecture and Design attended one of the sessions. The topic of the session — “Traditional architecture as a factor in preserving national identity” — is very relevant for those starting their career as architects. Most of the students who attended the event were students of the Department of Reconstruction, Restoration of Architectural Heritage and Fundamentals of Architecture. The session was also attended by KSUAE lecturers: Associate Professor A.T. Karimova and Assistant of the Department of Theory and Practice of Architecture M.A. Kinosyan.
The overwhelming majority of speakers are doctors of art history and philosophical sciences, candidates of sciences, and research fellows. The speakers from KSUAE were: Doctor of Architecture, Professor Galina Aidarova-Volkova - with the report "Architecture of Tatarstan in the Dynamics of Historical Time" and Senior Lecturer of the Design Department Rishat Salyakhutdinov - with the report "Artistic Design of Modern Mosques in Russia". It should be noted that the forum participants showed great interest in the topics touched upon by the KSUAE teachers.
The listeners also expanded their knowledge in the field of traditional architecture of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, wooden architecture of the Finno-Ugric peoples, and the design of interiors and exteriors of Tatar mosques.
