Happy Russian Students' Day!

Dear students,

I congratulate you on our common holiday - Russian Students' Day! This holiday is included in the list of memorable dates in Russia and is celebrated annually in Russia on January 25.

The holiday's history and traditions date back to the 18th century. On January 25 (January 12, old style), 1755, Empress Elizabeth, supporting the initiative of Count Ivan Shuvalov and Mikhail Lomonosov, signed the decree "On the establishment of Moscow University".

Being a student is great! You are young, healthy, beautiful, active, you have a whole life ahead of you, full of new discoveries, successes, victories. It is during your student years that you get unforgettable impressions, make friends for life, make far-reaching plans, are full of strength and energy for everything new and interesting. The Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation visited new centers of KSUAE

On January 20, 2025, as part of the participation in the extended meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, KSUAE was visited by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation I.E. Faizullin and the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov. The distinguished guests were shown the new scientific and educational centers of the university "Geodesy" and "Digital Roads".

The guests were met and introduced to the new sites of KSUAC by the Rector R.K. Nizamov, vice-rectors and directors of institutes, heads of centers.

The Research and Academic Center "Geodesy" was created within the framework of the university development concept. Here, work will be carried out to form the competencies of students and course participants in geodetic support of construction processes at various stages, starting from the design and completion of the operation of buildings and structures. The "Geodesy" center is located consists of six locations. The center demonstrates the latest generations of geodetic instruments, the floor covering is a city plan, the center has rare examples of geodetic instruments that spiritually and historically connect generations of KSUAE-KISI engineers, the classroom is equipped with a training model, computers with specialized software products installed for processing geodetic measurements, office data processing and creating topographic materials and terrain models.

The "Digital Roads" Research and Academic Center is a space for developing digital solutions in the road and transport industry. The center is located in the building of the Institute of Transport Structures and consists of three laboratories: Life Cycle, Digital Engineering, and Intelligent Systems. The Life Cycle Laboratory is built by analogy with the technology of information modeling of road construction - from solution to execution and operation. It consists of 7 sites: Digital Relief, Information Modeling, Modern Road Construction Using Satellite Navigation, Intelligent Transport Systems, Modeling of Traffic Flows, Internet of Things in Transport and Logistics, Digital Twins. The Digital Engineering Laboratory is a multimedia platform related to the use of artificial intelligence in road construction. Consists of 6 platforms: unmanned transport, VR technologies, information and cyber security, neural networks and machine learning, virtual assistant, generative design. The Intelligent Systems Laboratory is a platform for training and R&D in the field of traffic safety and transport modeling, telematics and telemetry, development of bicycle and SIM infrastructure, design and modeling of intelligent systems. The guests also visited the Roads and Strength centers. The area of ​​each center is about 400 sq. m.

The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation I.E. Fayzullin highly appreciated the work of the management and staff of KSUAE in creating new and improving previously commissioned research and academic centers, the correctness of the chosen strategy for the formation of unique sites for the training of highly qualified personnel and successful research activities.

KSUAE Professor Ravil Aidarov was elected as an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts

Professor of the Department of Graphic Modeling of KSUAE Ravil Aidarov was elected as an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The ceremonial presentation of certificates took place at the Russian Academy of Arts on January 21, 2025.

R.S. Aidarov is a 1972 graduate of the KSUAE Faculty of Architecture, an architect, artist, researcher of Kazan architecture, a master of watercolors, Honored Architect of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, a member of the Union of Architects of the Russian Federation, an academician of the International Academy of Art and Culture, the author of works dedicated to the historical wooden residential and public development of Kazan, and the winner of many state and public awards.

The Russian Academy of Arts is the largest center of Russian artistic culture. Since 1997, its president has been the monumental artist, sculptor, painter, and teacher Zurab Tsereteli.

Congratulations to Ravil Aidarov on his honorary membership in the Russian Academy of Arts!

KSUAE took part in the extended meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan

On January 17, 2025, an extended meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan "On the results of the activities of the road transport complex and tasks for 2025" was held with the participation of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov.

The meeting of the final board was also attended by the Rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov, Vice-rector for research activities (R&D), head of the department of highways, bridges and tunnels E.A. Vdovin, assistant to the vice-rector for R&D N.V. Konovalov, as well as students of the Institute of Transport Structures.

As part of the meeting, scientific and innovative developments of KSUAE scientists, implemented in complex modern conditions, were presented. During informal communication, students gained invaluable experience of communicating with representatives of the road business - with industrial partners of the university.
