The 77th International Conference on "Scientific and Methodological Problems of Teaching at a Construction University" has opened at KSUAE

On April 6, 2026, the 77th International Scientific Conference "Sociotechnical Construction" (77 ISC) opened at KSUAE. The conference included a session on "Scientific and Methodological Issues of Teaching Disciplines at a Construction University".
Presentations were made by faculty from KSUAE and other Kazan universities, graduate students, and undergraduate and graduate students from KSUAE. Attractive presentations were made by student A.A. Blokhina (25PM01 group) on the motivations for choosing a career at a construction university. Questions from conference participants focused on the specific motivations of young people when choosing various programs of study at KSUAE and the role of career guidance in this process.
Graduate students presented papers on relevant aspects of their dissertation research. A lively discussion among the section participants followed presentations by L.A. Muratshina on the development of a new model of student self-government at the university, and I.A. Arakcheeva on the problem of teaching aesthetic culture as a component of a civil engineer's professional identity.
A report by Associate Professor I.R. Feoktistova of the V.G. Timiryasov University of Management and Engineering (KIU) on project-based work as the foundation of the professional training of future civil engineers also generated interest among the audience.
All participants noted the importance of the project component in the educational process, and Associate Professors V.P. Kozlov and A.V. Morozov of the Department of Professional Training, Pedagogy, and Sociology at KSUAE shared their experience in organizing project-based work using the example of teaching the new discipline "Service Learning."
Among the best presentations, we also highlight the report by Associate Professor E.N. Tarasova's "Developing Soft Skills in Students of a Technical University in Humanities Classes." Many participants were concerned about the organization of the educational process in the context of digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence. The section meeting provided an opportunity to discuss pedagogical issues related to student preparation and faculty work organization at KSUAE.
