Nine students of the dual degree programme KSUAE-UEL completed an international online BREEAM Approved Graduate (AG) course, the program of additional professional education on the  the "green" building standard. This course has become possible and accessible to our students thanks to cooperation with the Moscow University MGSU.

Students of civil engineering and architecture courses were selected, those ones who are interested in working with green building standards. The course was developed by the MGSU in cooperation with the Russian Council for Green Building and the Academy of the Research Institute of Great Britain (BRE Academy).

Great Britain is one of the world leaders in green building. The BREEAM course was launched in the country in 1990 and is still very popular today. It is fully adapted for domestic higher educational institutions, taking into account the practice of green building in the Russian Federation.

The course consists of 20 academic hours with individual work, lectures, final essay and the test. The course was held on the platform of the BRE Academy company. Students who successfully complete the BREEAM Approved Graduate course were issued the international certificates from BRE Academy and the MGSU during the award ceremony that took place in May this year.

Here is a feedback of Denis Khrapal, a student of the dual degree programme KSUAE-UEL, who has completed the BREEAM course: “I took an online course in the field of green building related to BREEAM certification. Within the framework of this course, the relevance of ecological construction, the method of ecological assessment as the basis of sustainable development, the basic concepts of the method of ecological assessment BREEAM were described. For me, as an architectural design student, this course has highlighted the new facets of sustainable architecture and demonstrated the new opportunities associated with certification in green building. BRE Global provides students of construction universities with an excellent opportunity to reflect on and further develop "green building".

A team of KSUAE students under the supervision of their teacher Damir Ayupov won the Olympiad on "Production and use of building materials, components and structures" (qualification "Civil engineering") in Ivanovo city.

Gentle reminder: two years ago they were the best in the Olympiad as bachelors.

Twenty-four cleverest students from all over Russia took part in the Olympiad.
The success of our students is a result of well-coordinated work of students and teachers of the department of Technology of building materials, products and structures (School of Building Technologies, Engineering Systems and Ecology).

An open seminar "Application of HPL-materials in construction and decoration" was held in KSUAE Research and Educational Center "Technologies" on May 14, 2021.
LLC Laminated Plastics Plant (St. Petersburg) and KSUAE organized the seminar.

The vice-rector for scientific and research work Evgeniy Vdovin welcomed participants of the seminar.
During the seminar, the speakers talked about the advantages of HPL materials and the possibilities of their use in construction and decoration, gave examples of successful use in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan and other cities of Russia. For example, HPL materials were used on the facades and interior decoration of premises such as Innopolis, “Greenwich” Residential Complex, “MEGGA” Shopping Center, “Rodina” Residential Complex, “Kazan EXPO”.
The director of the School of Architecture and Design Anna Romanova, director of the School of Building Technologies, Engineering systems and Ecology Dmitriy Soldatov, deputy director, head of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Runar Abitov, representatives of construction companies, professors and students of KSUAE took part in the seminar.
The seminar was conducted by Daria Martynova, project manager of LLC “SLOPLAST” and Dmitry Gavrikov, head of the sales department of the Moscow representative office of LLC “SLOPLAST”.

A solemn meeting in honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) was held at the KSUAE near the memorial obelisk.
The program of the meeting included the opening speech of KSUAE rector R.K. Nizamov, laying flowers to the memorial obelisk to the soldiers fallen in the Great Patriotic War and speeches of the students of our University.
The event was attended by the board of the University, teachers and students.
Students and employees of KSUAE took part in city events dedicated to the celebration of the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
On May 7, 2021 at the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Mussa Jalil, students and employees of KSUAE, lined up in a "living corridor" to meet veterans and homefront workers of the Great Patriotic War, who arrived at the solemn event with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Minnikhanov.
On May 9, at Millennium Square, students of KSUAE took part in the large-scale project "Singing Kazan". As part of the combined student choir, our students sang patriotic songs of the war and post-war years.
