The plenary session of the 2nd international Conference on Socio-Technical Construction and Civil Engineering (STCCE – 2021) was held in KSUAE on April 28, 2021.
The event was held in English both offline and online in research and educational centers of our university "BFFT.space", "Strength", "Systems", "Technologies", "Roads", "Urban Planning" for teachers and employees of KSUAE, as well as for guests. Participants from other cities of Russia and abroad joined the conference via Zoom.
Conference materials will be published in foreign journals of Scopus and Web of Science databases.
Reports were made by Mark Sedgley, Peter Lakin, Alkiviadis Prepis, Nikolay Vatin, Stefano Bertocci, Paolo Ceccarelli, Konstantin Popkov, Tiziano Cattaneo and Arslan Ziganshin.
The conference sparked great interest of scientists, graduates and specialists from various fields of science, among them 700 participants from more than 20 countries of the world (Australia, Armenia, Great Britain, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Egypt, Israel, India, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, USA, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Sweden, South Korea, Japan, etc.) and different cities of Russia (Vladimir, Voronezh, Belgorod, Rostov, Irkutsk, Kazan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Tyumen, Ufa, etc.), more than 100 scientists at the sites of scientific and educational centers, about 200 online participants via Zoom, about 400 viewers on Youtube.

On the 22 of April, STCCE was continued with section “Building constructions, buildings and structures” which was held in our scientific and research centre “STRENGTH”. Scientists from KSUAE, Kazan Federal University and other speakers from different universities made presentations.
ass. prof. Gennady Shmelev and Master student Pavel Eremeev shared their knowledge in improving designs of pedestrian crossings,
prof. Ivan Kuznetsov, ass. prof. Linur Gimranov and postgraduate student Daler Aripov presented their research in the field of calculating the roof trusses nodes, made of both from steel and from composite materials.
prof. Ilizar Mirsayapov, ass. prof. Lenar Siraziev, Marat Shakirov, Danil Sabirzyanov and postgraduate student Danil Sergeev reported on experimental studies in the field of the stress state of a multilayer massif under slab foundations and field tests of pile foundations for cyclic loading.
Representatives of the Volga Federal University Samat Timergaliev and Lilia Kharasova presented their developments in the field of the stress state of hinged thin-walled structures.
Postgraduate student Alsu Fattakhova and ass. prof. Oleg Efimov told about research in the field of work of combined floors as stiffness diaphragms.
The organizers are thankful to the participants for the high level of their reports. The results will be published in the collection of scientific articles of our conference.

The 2nd International Scientific Conference on Socio-Technical Construction and Civil Engineering (STCCE - 2021) is taking place at KSUAE. Today (April, 21) was the day of "Architecture and Planning" section. Foreign delegates from Italy (L.Mucciolo), Greece (A. Prepis and E.Tsakiri) delivered their reports related to sustainable development and urban planning, and the cultural experience that has been accumulated in modern architecture of urban planning.
Participants from Tyumen made a presentation on the results of the successful implementation of green energy facilities in the city's planning structure. Olga Pastukh from Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering told about the results of the modern polymer materials and wood introduction in the construction of buildings in the form of geodesic domes.
In addition, nine more reports were presented on the current results of scientific research carried out at the departments of the Institute of Architecture and Design.
Up-to-date technical capabilities of tele- and videoconferencing were implemented while the meeting of "Architecture and Planning" section.

KSUAE is University with a vast range of sports clubs and societies. It is one of leading centres for student sport in Tatarstan. Our University is always in the top 3 universities in the republic.
Sport at University is provided by our world-class facilities. The University Sports Centre “Tozuche” was opened in 2013. It has a fitness and sports halls, studios and team training room used by international performance athletes.
The University Sports Service is committed to developing sport within the University and in Kazan. Here are our results for the last two months:
KSUAE Boxing Club is one of the toughest and most prestigious sports teams in the republic. Each season, around 10 boxers compete for the Cup of Tatarstan University Championship. This year (March) out team took the first prize!
Volleyball is one of the most successful sports clubs in the University. We have two teams both men and women (few players of our university teams represent Russia at the National and World Championships). On the 22nd of April our volleyball team (men) won the match versus federal university and made it to the final.
