KSUAE attended the lecture of the Spanish urbanist Vicente Guayarta in the framework of the XXIV Global Conference TCI 2021 

On September 17, 2021, KSUAE academic staff and students, within the framework of the XXIV Global Conference TCI 2021, attended a fascinating lecture of the Spanish urbanist, chief architect of Barcelona in 2011-2015 Vicente Guayarta.

The lecturer talked about how the technical revolution influenced architecture, and industrial crises influenced the development of cities, how, as a result of such changes, the environment of large cities changed, becoming human-oriented. The architect came to the conclusion that it is necessary to develop a circular bioeconomy, which, in his opinion, will help reduce the side effects of globalization, such as, for example, smog in cities. He shared his experience in the development of mid-rise apartment buildings made of wooden panels, the construction of which is carried out according to the principle of Russian "Khrushchevs", while the buildings are the most environmentally friendly and quick to erect.

Important questions were raised during the lecture: “What can we do with the knowledge we have”, “How to provide local, fresh vegetables to the inhabitants of cities”. The architect believes that the answer to these questions is the possibility of placing greenhouses and vegetable gardens on the roofs of apartment buildings using modern technologies and solar panels. As a positive example, the lecturer spoke about similar projects in Iceland and China.

KSUAE volunteers took part in the organization of the I Games of the CIS countries in Kazan

From 4 to 11 September 2021, Kazan hosted the I Games of the CIS countries. 12 volunteers from KSUAE became part of this large-scale event. Volunteers were involved in three main areas: attaches, sports ground volunteers, service volunteers.

More than 1600 participants came to the capital of Tatarstan, of which 1100 are athletes from 9 CIS countries.
Games were held in 16 sports. In total, the athletes competed for 181 sets of awards. More than 400 judges and referees, as well as more than 1000 volunteers from 43 regions of Russia worked at the competition.

Scientific and innovative developments of KSUAE scientists at the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum-2021

From August 31 to September 2, 2021, the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum-2021 was held at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Center. The grand opening of the forum took place on August 31, 2021 with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation M.I. Ivanov, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan N.A. Nogayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC Gazprom O.E. Aksyutin and other officials.

The Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum is one of the largest international events in the Russian oil and gas industry. It is an effective platform for the exchange of ideas, discussion of key issues in the industry by Russian and foreign experts and the scientific community of the oil and gas industry, demonstration of the latest developments and technologies, a meeting place for the industrial and business communities.

More than 150 companies from the regions of Russia and foreign countries are represented at the exhibition.
Within the Forum a round table was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov and the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan N.A. Nogayev on the topic "Expanding the use of republican petrochemical products in the construction industry." The moderator of the round table was the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan A.M. Frolov.

Our Rector prof. Rashit Nizamov presented to the participants of the round table the innovative developments of KSUAE, which are being introduced into real production, aimed at expanding the consumption of chemical and petrochemical products in the construction industry:

- "Sprayed bitumen-latex waterproofing" liquid rubber' (Associate Professors of the Department of Technology of Building Materials, Products and Structures, Candidate of Engineering Sciences D.A. Ayupov, Candidate of Engineering Sciences D.B. Makarov);

- "Scientific and technical support for the design and construction of production facilities in the petrochemical industry" (Head of the Department of Foundations, Foundations, Dynamics of Structures and Engineering Geology, Doctor of Technical Sciences Ilizar Mirsayapov).

On the same day, a round table with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov and the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan N.A. Nogayev on the topic "Expanding the use of petrochemical products in road construction." The moderator of the round table was the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan F.M. Hanifov.

Vice-Rector for Research, Head of the Department of Roads, Bridges and Tunnels, Cand. tech. Sciences E.A. Vdovin presented to the participants of the round table the innovative developments of KSUAE, which had passed pilot-industrial approbation, aimed at expanding the consumption of chemical and petrochemical products in road construction:

- "Development of effective designs for pavements of rural highways using fortified and modified local mineral materials" (Vice-Rector for Research, Head of the Department of Highways, Bridges and Tunnels, Candidate of Technical Sciences E.A. Vdovin; Director of the Institute of transport structures, associate professor of the department of highways, bridges and tunnels, candidate of technical sciences A.Yu. Fomin; deputy director of the Institute of transport structures, associate professor of the department of building materials candidate of technical sciences D.S.Smirnov; teachers of the department of highways, bridges and tunnels: associate professor, candidate of technical sciences L.F.Mavliev, assistant, candidate of technical sciences P.E.Bulanov, assistant N.V. Konovalov);

- "Development of the subgrade material for field roads and sites based on the drilled rock of oil wells" (Vice-Rector for Research, Head of the Department of Highways, Bridges and Tunnels, Candidate of Engineering Sciences E.A. Vdovin; Director of the Institute of Transport Structures, Associate Professor of the Department of Highways, Bridges and Tunnels, Candidate of Technical Sciences A.Yu. Fomin; Lecturers of the Department of Highways, Bridges and Tunnels: Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences L.F. Mavliev, Assistant, Candidate of Technical Sciences P E. In conclusion of the work of the round tables, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov thanked the representatives of the companies for their interesting proposals. He instructed industry experts to carefully study and use all the projects presented.

KSUAE student teams sum up the results of the third labor semester

Autumn has come, a new academic year, and it's time to sum up the results of the third labor semester and tell how the Headquarters of student units of KSUAE spent it.

The student construction team "Kazan" this year went to the All-Russian student construction site "Peaceful Atom". The guys took 2nd place in the design layout competition, in the voiceover competition, and became the third in the dance competition and in the video competition. At the end of the season, the team became the third in terms of production indicators and entered the top five among the 50 teams.

The Student Pedagogical Unit "Ignis" worked as counselors in the "Blue Wave" campus and organized summer vacations for more than 250 children. 

Over the course of two months, the Alkor student construction brigade was pleased with its results at the Northern Lights MSS. The girls became the best in the competition of posters on the theme "Safe Present - Sustainable Future" and in the competition of promotional videos of the construction site, took 2nd place in the competition of detachment corners, at the creative festival in the nomination "Dance". In the literary competition they took 1st place in the "Author's Poem" nomination and 3rd place in the "Detachment Poem" nomination.

At the All-Union Sports and Athletics Games "Peaceful Atom", the student construction team "Irbis" showed good results. According to the results of the delivery of the TRP complex, the detachment took 3rd place, and the master of the detachment Kamil Shigapov became the silver medalist in the individual competition.

The labor semester of student service teams is still going on, but already now there are many victories of the Bars Student Service Unit and the Altea Student Service Unit. Thus, SServo Bars became the winner in the Art Masks competition and took 2nd place at the creative festival in the Fashion Theater nomination.
