Employers are waiting for architects-urban planners of KSUAE: “You are very lucky that you study at an incredibly cool university!”

On February 9, 2023, at the academic and research center Urban Planning, with the support of the Institute of Architecture and Design and the Department of Practice and Promotion of Employment of Graduates, at the initiative of the SETKA student project, a unique event was held for urban planning students with the intriguing title “What to do?".

The main goal of the event is the formation of a student professional community, the creation of a relationship between students and design organizations in the field of urban planning.

The director of the Institute of Architecture and Design (IAiD) Anna Ilyinichna Romanova delivered a welcoming speech. She supported the student initiative and focused on the importance of continuous self-development, especially effective in cooperation with employers.

The speakers of the event were: Tukhvatullina Ilsiyar - chief architect of the city of Kazan; Teregulov Eric - head of the master planning group of the State Budgetary Institution "Institute for Spatial Development of the Republic of Tatarstan"; Povyshev Roman , director of the MBU "Institute for City Development"; and students of 5th of study of the "Urban Planning" and at the same time architects of the "City Development Institute" and of the design bureau of Axiom Kazan LLC; Yamilova Veronika - Lead Architect-Urban Planner of the Our Yard Program, Institute for Urban Development of the Republic of Tatarstan Foundation.

The speakers told the students what their organizations are doing, about the implemented and ongoing project activities, about current projects in the field of architecture, design and urban planning. Students often asked questions about interaction with employers, what opportunities are available for them, what to look for when applying for a job/practice, what qualities, knowledge and skills a graduate student should have.

The chief architect of the city of Kazan I.M. Tukhvatullina paid great attention to the issues of interaction between the Institute for City Development and students, noted the huge demand for graduates of the Urban Planning department, and also invited students to work practice for the purpose of further employment. Students have a lot of ideas aimed at popularizing the urban development direction, which they are ready to implement in the near future. Head of the Department of Practice and Promotion of Employment, Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning A.V. Zaripova noted the importance of passing an internship, since students can gain invaluable practical experience and teamwork skills at this time.

Rector's congratulations with Happy Day of Russian Science!

Dear teachers, staff, graduate students, students,

On behalf of the university administration, please accept our congratulations on the Day of Russian Science!

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated April 25, 2022 No. 231, 2022-2031 are declared in Russia as the Decade of Science and Technology.

The powerful scientific and educational potential of KSUAE, based on the scientific schools of our university, close cooperation with profile ministries and business allow us to create popular innovative technologies and scientific and technical developments for practical implementation in the real economy.

In accordance with the adopted concept of development, scientific and educational centers, platforms and spaces of international level are being created at KSUAE, the best in their field in terms of equipment in the Russian Federation, in which practice-oriented engineering education is implemented at all stages of training.

On the basis of scientific schools, the created infrastructure of scientific and educational centers, scientists of KSUAE, within the framework of instructions from state authorities, economic agreements and state contracts, in the interests of business, carry out research projects relevant for the Republic of Tatarstan, the results of which are being introduced into real construction industry today.

In 2022, 5 scientific conferences were held at KSUAE, incl. with publications in high-ranking scientific and technical journals; received 62 patents for inventions, 20 patents for utility models, 57 applications for patents were submitted, teachers and graduate students of KSUAE presented 3 doctoral and 7 candidate dissertations.

In 2023, the University staff faces new big challenges that require the joint efforts of our scientific schools to achieve significant results in scientific and innovative activities!

KSUAE, Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan and Satbayev University (Kazakhstan) agreed on cooperation

On February 6, 2023, at the University academic and research Center "Technology", at the initiative of the Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan, a trilateral meeting was held dedicated to multidisciplinary cooperation within the Technology Platform of the Eurasian Economic Commission between KSUAE, the Institute of Architecture and Construction T.K. Basenov (Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty) and the Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan (Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan) with the involvement of the industrial company STEINBLOCK LLC (Nab. Chelny), engaged in the production of technological equipment for construction industry enterprises (plants of aerated concrete, fiber-reinforced concrete, reinforced concrete products).

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the department "Construction and building materials" of the Kazakh National Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences D.A. Akhmetov made a presentation of a ready-mixed self-compacting concrete (SCC) plant project, developed entirely on Kazakh raw materials.

The meeting participants discussed the development of joint degree programme on Master level, Technology of construction materials and structures (TSMIK) between KSUAE and Satbayev University, which is to be developed on the basis of two curricula of both departments. The first experience of such cooperation in the preparation of bachelors at the KSUAE Department of TSMIK already exists - with the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Republic of Uzbekistan). The parties - KSUAE and Satbayer University - agreed to start work on the implementation of this proposal.

The president of the Industrial Cluster S.V. Mayorov proposed to conclude an agreement between the Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan and KSUAE (represented by the Department of TSMIK) in order to implement scientific developments in the production of building materials of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the framework of cooperation with the Institute of Architecture and Construction T.K. Basenov, representatives of the partner university were shown the academic and research centers of KSUAE, demonstrated the material and technical, laboratory base, innovative developments of the team of university scientists.
