7th Graduation ceremony of the dual degree programme KSUAE-UEL

At our University an official graduation ceremony was held for the last year 21 graduates of the British programme implemented at KSUAE jointly with the University of East London (UK) in the areas of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Construction Management. 70% of the students received First Class Honors degrees and 30% Second Class (Upper Division) Honors from the University of East London on the basis of examinations for the entire period of their study.

One of the main advantages of the programme is the triple system of testing students' knowledge. It includes, along with the internal system of KSUAE, a system for assessment by external, independent experts of the British university and an internal system of the UEL.

Many graduates 2021 continued their studies in the magistracy of our University, as well as in foreign universities (Germany, Italy, USA), some of the graduates were employed in their specialty.

The Rector of KSUAE, prof. Rashit Nizamov wished the students success in building their future careers, and also emphasized the uniqueness of the programme that allows to train in-demand specialists, professionals in the specified areas with multilingual and intercultural competencies. Joint degree students have a key advantage over their peers in regular programs with one degree, as they have more ample opportunities for the young professional. Today, degrees of English educational institutions are valued all over the world. Universities in England received the highest scores in terms of employability.

Congratulations to the guys, we wish them continued success!

We also express our deep gratitude to the teaching staff of KSUAE involved in the implementation of the programme and made a huge contribution to the success of the graduation of this cohort of students!

The design group of KSUAE completed an internship at the leading universities in Hungary and Finland

The interdisciplinary project team completed a two-week international internship at two universities:

- buda University in Budapest;

- Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT.

In the first week of the internship, the group visited Obud University, Budapest, which is one of the largest technical universities in the country. The university has created excellent conditions for teaching and research. The University actively promotes international partnerships and maintains broad international relations in 49 countries. The university has contacts with 231 foreign higher educational institutions and research institutes.

As part of the internship, they got acquainted with the Department of Environmental Protection, saw the practical application of the research results.

The second week of the internship took place in Finland: the project team visited two cities: Helsinki and Lappeenranta.

In Helsinki, a meeting was organized with the Finnish construction company VAHANEN-YHTIÖT, a lecture was delivered by Arto Toorikka, a certified health building expert and IAQ author of an energy certificate for buildings. He is involved in the construction and implementation of projects for the sustainable development of the city of Helsinki.

In the city of Lappeenranta, the group visited the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT). The university has partnered with the city of Lappeenranta to develop a concept that allows small households to transfer excess solar energy from their panels to the centralized city grid.

Also, a meeting was organized with the mayor's office of Lappeenranta, at which there was an opportunity to ask all questions of interest. In particular, it was announced that the energy efficiency class of the building can be increased by means of reconstruction of windows, thermal insulation of walls and roofs. In Finland there is a site similar to our Russian Rossreestr, the Public Cadastral Map, but this map shows all the information about the building, as well as the energy efficiency class.

They also visited a construction site in the city of Lappeenranta, got acquainted with the progress of the construction of apartment buildings, where energy and saving technologies are used, at each stage of construction, measures are taken to protect the environment from the effects of special equipment and other factors.

A pleasant addition was the acquisition of new knowledge about the organization of the educational process.
