On the eve of Victory Day, our international students paid tribute to the heroes of the II World War

Annually, on 9 May, Russia celebrates its significant Victory Day, when the Great Patriotic War ended in 1945 by the victory of soviet army over fascists.
Every year for all Russian people it's a festive day.

KSUAE international students joined the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame near the monument to the Unknown Soldier in the Kazan Central Park, together with representatives of the multinational youth of Tatarstan.

With great interest, they listened and recited poems about the war in different languages of the peoples of Tatarstan.

Besides, at the University festive ceremony dedicated to this day, students from Colombia, Angola, Ecuador, and Benin sang together a famous Russian song "Katyusha" known in many countries.

Thank you, guys, for your respect and interest in the history of our country!

KSUAE at the Russian Venture Forum

The XVIII Russian Venture Forum 2024 became the most important event in the venture capital industry of the Russian Federation and set the main trends in innovative development and technological entrepreneurship. The forum brought together more than 4 thousand participants, over 200 speakers, about 100 representatives of investment funds, as well as more than 50 startup projects at the Kazan EXPO IEC.

The forum was attended by the KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov, teachers and students. The main topic of the plenary session of the forum was “Technological entrepreneurship: the space of higher competencies.” In the exposition hall of the Russian Venture Forum, a presentation of portfolio companies of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan (IVF RT) took place in the format of a pitch session.

At the event, 2 startup projects of KSUAE, winners of the “Start-1” competition of the “Idea 1000” innovation project support program of the IVF RT were presented: - Development of strengthened soils modified with activated fillers for the construction of highways (Neodortech LLC, director - assistant of the department of highways, bridges and tunnels N.V. Konovalov); - Development and implementation of a specialized composition of fine-grained concrete, additive technological processes in construction (AST Lab LLC, director - senior researcher at the Department of Construction Production Technologies L.V. Ziganshina).

KSUAE hosted Student Festival "International Spring Fest 2024"

KSUAE hosted the Student Festival International Spring Fest 2024, which brought together and united creative and talented students from 17 countries: Chad, Benin, Morocco, Mozambique, Colombia, Ecuador, Zambia, Senegal, Congo, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Afghanistan, Mauritania, Tajikistan, Angola and Russia.

Foreign students of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan State Institute of Culture and Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism took an active part in the Festival. The goals of the Festival are to demonstrate, recognize and encourage the creative achievements of foreign students, identify the most promising students, faster and more successful socialization among students, familiarize themselves with the culture, history and traditions of different peoples of the world living in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The organizers of the Festival were the KSUAE Association of Foreign Students and the KSUAE Department of International Relations.

In the first part of the Festival, KSUAE foreign students presented the most typical national sweets of their countries: kaak, mahalabiya, achonmon, hama, basbousa and others. Teachers, students and guests of the event had the opportunity to try and evaluate the culinary abilities of the children in a welcoming atmosphere.

In the second part of the festive evening, the KSUAE Rector Rashit Nizamov solemnly greeted all the participants and guests of the Festival, wished everyone creative success and good luck, noting that KSUAE is always glad to see foreign students and supports them in every possible way.

Foreign students sang national songs and read poems in 8 languages of the world, including the state languages of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian and Tatar, and also showed the bright colors of national dances and musical instruments. All performances found a lively response from the audience, who greeted each participant with thunderous applause. Among the guests of the Festival were representatives of the Republican youth public organization "Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan", foreign students of various Kazan universities, as well as teachers and students of KSUAE.

At the end of the event, all the Festival participants got diplomas, and all participants and spectators sang the Russian song “Katyusha” together on the eve of the significant holiday - Victory Day, 9 May.

All participants and spectators shared enthusiastic feedbacks of the Festival, noted the high level of preparation, expressed sincere gratitude to its organizers and wished that such a wonderful holiday would be repeated again and again.

KSUAE staff completed an internship at Yıldız Technical University (Istanbul, Türkiye)

From April 12 to April 24, 2024, KSUAE staff - head of the department of TSP Ibragimov R.A., associate professor of the department of TSP Bogdanov R.R., associate professor of the department of ISIT Badrutdinov M.N. — completed an internship at Yıldız Technical University (Istanbul, Türkiye).

The Yıldız Technical University has 10 faculties, more than 200 laboratories, and about 30,000 students study here. The internship became possible thanks to the Algarysh Government grant program.

The internship was supervised by professors from the Faculty of Civil Engineering: Dr. Prof. Orhan CANPOLAT, Dr. Prof. Mücteba UYSAL

Our staff got acquainted with the university campuses, laboratories for seismic resistance of buildings, foundations, hydraulics, scientific and technical library, central scientific laboratory, and technology park. During the internship, teachers became familiar with the procedure for taking exams for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and also attended the defense of their master's thesis. During the internship, I also had the opportunity to visit a plant for the production of concrete mixing plants (ELCON, Çerkezkoy) and visit the construction site.

The main focus during the internship was on the following issues: – standards for the design and construction of buildings under seismic conditions; – safety standards for construction and installation work; – digital technologies in construction; – educational technology standards, qualification requirements for educational levels of bachelors, masters, and graduate students.

At the end of the internship, KSUAE staff received certificates.

We hope for further successful international cooperation!

Over 1000 scientists took part in the KSUAE 75th International Scientific Conference “Sociotechnical Construction”

On April 23, 2024, the final plenary meeting of the 75th International Scientific Conference “Sociotechnical Construction” (75 MNCs) was held in at KSUAE.

The annual International Scientific Conference "Sociotechnical Construction", which was held at the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering from April 8 to April 23, 2024, is an open platform for the exchange of advanced scientific achievements, which are the results of fundamental and applied research by scientists and specialists in the field of construction and architecture and other areas of scientific activity of the university.

The plenary session was opened by the rector of KSUAE, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor R.K. Nizamov. He noted the achievements of scientists, graduate students, and university students who took an active part in the meetings of the conference sections and presented the results of their scientific and innovative work in all stated scientific areas.

Vice-Rector for Research of KSUAE E.A. Vdovin reported on the results of the work of 12 sections of the 75th International Scientific Conference “Sociotechnical Construction”. The conference was attended by representatives from 16 cities of the Russian Federation (Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Kursk, Simferopol, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Elabuga, Volgograd, Ulyanovsk, Tver, Khabarovsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Elabuga, Cheboksary) and 6 foreign countries (Republic of Belarus, Republic of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, Argentina, Palestine). The total number of participants of 75 MNCs was 1013 people (40 universities and 19 organizations), the number of reports was 740. An analysis of the activity of participation in the conference showed a significant increase in the number of participants, both scientists, graduate students, students, and representatives of the manufacturing industry compared to previous years.

All results presented at the conference will be published in KSUAE journals.

In continuation of the plenary session, reports from leading foreign scientists were presented:

- Angui Li, professor at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (China), with a report “Ventilation with overlay jets: additional application possibilities in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems”;

- Radwan El-Kelani, Professor, Faculty of Civil and Architectural Engineering, An-Najah National University (Nablus, Palestine), with the report “Geophysical analysis of soil for geotechnical purposes using MASW (multichannel analysis of surface waves) and microseismic methods in the Jericho region, West Bank, Palestine";

- Grossi Franco Claudio, professor at the Northeastern National University (Argentina), with a report “Ergonomics in hospital design: shaping the future of medical institutions”.
