KGASU.fest: a celebration uniting students, sports, and creativity
KSUAE hosted its large-scale "KGASU.fest"—a major event for first-year students where everyone could find something to enjoy. The festival combined sports competitions, creative performances, and lectures by student organizations, all set against a festive atmosphere. This year, KGASU.fest was made even more special by the presence of honorary guests: players from the "Dynamo-Ak Bars" women's volleyball team. The athletes visited the university, interacted with students, and presented a commemorative gift to KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov.
As part of the festival, branded KSUAE merchandise, T-shirts signed by the "Dynamo-Ak Bars" players, and a "Rubin" football club scarf were raffled off to students—prizes that proved to be a huge hit of the evening. Several interactive zones were set up at the festival. In the lecture area, student organizations shared tips on how to develop skills and make the most of student life. The sports zone attracted fans of active recreation; a spirit of friendly competition filled the air as participants tested their skills in streetball, table tennis, volleyball, and basketball.
In the relaxation zone, guests played board games, socialized, and made new friends in a cozy setting. A fair was also held where students could find everything they needed for their studies. The concert program was a highlight of the evening. Students and staff performed Tatar and Russian musical numbers for the freshmen. Every performance resonated deeply with the audience.
KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov led a traditional group chant that united all the festival participants. The evening wrapped up with an energetic disco—dancing to the best tracks brought everyone together on the dance floor.
KGASU.fest once again demonstrated that university life is about so much more than just lectures and exams. It’s a place where you can unleash your talents, make friends, get involved in awesome student projects, and simply have a fantastic time. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! A new academic year lies ahead, promising even more events, excitement, and opportunities to get together.
