Bridging Cultures, Building Futures: KSUAE Students Join the 2026 International Youth Festival

The International Youth Festival is a major global event that brings together young people from around the world to share experiences and engage in cultural and educational interaction. The festival began on September 11 and brought together 10,000 participants from 191 countries.

The program featured a wide range of activities, including impromptu musical concerts, technology demonstrations, dance performances, spontaneous interviews, global cuisine showcases, art exhibitions, and much more.

A highlight of the festival was the "Exhibition of Young Artists from 100 Countries," which explored themes such as family, culture, values, love, and beliefs. The exhibition showcased 1,000 paintings and graphic art pieces. The participating artists were young creators (aged 18 to 35) from Russia and nearly 100 other countries, including China, Brazil, Armenia, Bahrain, Iran, Venezuela, and India. The exposition comprised 600 works from Russia and 400 from abroad.

First-year international students from the KSUAE Institute of Architecture and Design—Chileshe Samuel (Zambia) and Saabira Cahaya (Indonesia)—also participated in the exhibition. Chileshe Samuel presented his painting titled "Mother Zambia and Abandonment of Culture," which reflects on the lifestyle in his native Zambia and the younger generation's attitude toward their roots. Saabira Cahaya presented her painting titled "Temple Borobudur," which showcases the beauty of the Borobudur temple in Indonesia and introduces viewers to the country's cultural heritage.

In addition to the exhibition, our students were full participants in the entire festival marathon. They attended the opening and closing ceremonies, met with representatives from the Zambian and Indonesian embassies in Moscow, explored the beauty of Yekaterinburg—even visiting the famous Europe-Asia border—and learned about Cossack traditions.

The students shared their vivid impressions of participating in the festival:

Samuel: "This event gave me unforgettable experiences and many wonderful moments connecting with people from all over the world; the opportunity to present my work to such a wide audience was a real gift. I also had the honor of discussing my art with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, the Iranian Foreign Minister, and various artists from Russia and other countries".

Saabira: "I was delighted to meet talented young people from around the globe and to learn about their art and cultures. I particularly enjoyed the cultural exchange and the chance to interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and creative experiences".

We are sincerely proud of our talented international students and thank them for their active participation in such a major event and for representing KSUAE so well on the global stage. We hope this is just the beginning of a great creative journey. We wish them future victories, inspiration, and brilliant achievements!
