KSUAE foreign students celebrated International Mother Language Day

February 21 is celebrated annually as International Mother Language Day – an important event for the culture of every nationality. The holiday was established by UNESCO in 1999. This day is intended to remind about the importance of preserving linguistic diversity and cultural identity.

Foreign students from 40 countries, speaking different languages ​​of the world, study at KSUAE. They congratulated all students and teachers of KSUAE on Mother Language Day in their native languages ​​and in Russian, which now unites them while studying in Russia and at our university.

During the festive event, students from different countries got acquainted with the history of the holiday, with interesting facts related to the languages ​​and literary heritage of the peoples of Russia and the world, played a language quiz, and also tested their knowledge of the Russian language in a game form. Students of the preparatory course recited poems in their native languages: Turkish, Spanish, Arabic, French, English, and even learned and recited poems in Russian and Tatar. T

he fun celebration, organized by the International Relations Department and the Association of International Students of KSUAE, ended with the presentation of certificates and sweet prizes.
