Happy Russian Science Day!
Dear teachers, staff, postgraduates, students,
On behalf of the management of our university, please accept congratulations on the Day of Russian Science! By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated April 25, 2022 No. 231, 2022-2031 were declared the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (KSUAE), which 95th birthday is in 2025, creates in-demand scientific, technical and innovative developments on the basis of its scientific schools for scientific and innovative support of the architectural and construction, road transport and housing and communal services industries. KSUAE successfully continues to form an international-level campus. 24 scientific and educational centers, sites and spaces of international level have been created, the best in their field in the Russian Federation. They implement practice-oriented education at all stages of training, which really allows combining scientific research and an innovative educational environment, attracting masters and postgraduate students to real work.
On the basis of scientific schools, the created infrastructure of scientific and educational centers by scientists of KSUAE, within the framework of instructions of state authorities, business contracts and government contracts, in the interests of business, R & D are carried out that are relevant for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, the results of which are being introduced into real construction production today:
KSUAE occupies a leading position in architectural and construction education in Russia, and in the international student competition space it is almost the only one to represent our country. In 2024, we had awards in international architectural competitions: competition from Nisshin Kogyo (Japan), more than 400 participants from Canada, Germany, USA, Japan; Dokdo Guesthouse Design (South Korea), 80 applications from China, Canada, Germany, USA, UAE, India, Mexico; student competition for an object in the autism center (India), 240 applications from China, Canada, UAE, India; Hyp Cup 2024 (China), 420 applications from China, Canada, Germany, USA, UAE, India; John P. Eberhard Student Design Competition (USA), more than 170 students from 30 architectural schools in China, Canada, Germany, USA, India.
Four scientific projects of KSUAE became winners of grant competitions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan for the implementation of fundamental and applied scientific work, as well as for young candidates of science (postdocs). Students and postgraduate students of KSUAE actively participate in the Student Startup competition of the federal project Platform for University Technological Entrepreneurship. In 2024, 12 KSUAE projects became winners of the competition. In the All-Russian ranking of TOP-1000 university startups 2024, the startup of KSUAE student Gasanov Samir took 13th place, showing the best result among universities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the past 2024, 6 scientific conferences were held at KSUAE, including with publication of papers in highly rated scientific and technical journals.
In 2024, KSUAE employees submitted 70 applications for inventions, utility models, received 59 patents for industrial property objects.
The Higher Attestation Commission Dissertation Council on Architecture and Design began its work, candidate dissertations were presented and doctoral dissertations are being prepared for presentation.
The journal "Bulletin of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering" has the highest categories of scientific journals of the Russian Federation, being included in K1 in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission and the core of the Russian Science Citation Index - RSCI.
Six electronic scientific journals are published, indexed in the RSCI database.
In 2025, the university staff will face new major challenges that require the concentration of joint efforts of our scientific schools to achieve significant results in scientific and innovative activities!
