KSUAE hosted the International Conference “Buildpolymers-24”

On May 20-23, 2024, at the KSUAE Department of Technology of Building Materials, Products and Structures, at the site of the multifunctional center "Forum", the International Scientific and Practical Conference on the use of polymers in construction "Buildpolymers-24" was held. The event is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of V.A. Voskresensky - Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professor, rector of the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute, founder of the first department of plastics among construction universities of the USSR. The conference was organized by the Kazan State University of Architecture and  Engineering.

At the conference, representatives of universities, scientific and design organizations, manufacturers of polymer products and polymer-based building materials exchanged the results of scientific and applied research, experience in the production and use of polymer materials in construction. The conference was attended by 96 people (from 21 universities and 24 organizations) from the CIS countries and from different regions of the Russian Federation - from Yakutsk to Belgorod.

Over two working days, 30 oral and 18 poster presentations were made in various areas corresponding to the theme of the conference. 55 people from different regions of Russia attended the conference as listeners.

The conference was opened and the guests and participants were greeted by the rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov. In his speech, Rashit Kurbangalievich paid special attention to the creation of scientific and educational centers of KSUAE, which play a decisive role in quality education and the development of innovative technologies.

Representatives of companies producing materials and products for construction purposes using polymers; representatives of Russian universities presented their scientific and applied developments in the field of creation and use of polymer building materials for various purposes:

Young scientists - graduate students, presented their research in a poster session, the discussion of which aroused great interest. At the final meeting, young participants - winners of the competition - received diplomas and letters of gratitude from the founders of the conference.

Conference participants appreciated the high level of the conference, the clear organization of its program, and expressed gratitude for the opportunity for productive interaction with colleagues, as well as for its cultural program.

The organizing committee expresses gratitude to the management and staff of KSUAE for their assistance in organizing and holding the conference.
