KSUAE took part in the XII All-Russian conference "Preservation and revival of small historical cities and rural settlements"
On September 23-25, 2021 in the historic town of Gorokhovets, the XII All-Russian conference took place with international participation “Preservation and revival of small historical cities and rural settlements: problems and prospects. Comprehensive development programs". The conference, which is organized by the Russian Association of Restorers, the Administration of the Vladimir Region, the Administration of the Gorokhovetsky District with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, traditionally brings together representatives of the State Duma of Russia, federal and regional authorities, monument protection bodies, reserve museums, research institutes, specialized educational institutions and public organizations, non-profit, restoration and design organizations, Russian and foreign experts.
The agenda includes improving the legislative and methodological support for the preservation and revival of small historical cities and rural settlements in Russia, development resources, integrated preservation and development of the historical urban environment and improvement projects; international experience, involvement of the public and business in the process of preserving the historical environment.
There are 13 historical settlements in Tatarstan. The topics of historical and urban planning studies of these cities and settlements, identifying architectural and urban planning features and the originality of each of them, developing approaches to preserving heritage have been in the focus of scientific research and design developments of the KSUAE Institute of Architecture and Design for many years. The director of the Center for Architectural and Restoration Research, Associate Professor of the Department of Reconstruction, Restoration of Architectural Heritage and Fundamentals of Architecture Svetlana Persova took part in the conference. Exchange of experience on the integrated preservation of historical settlements, cooperation with the Russian Association of Restorers will give a new impetus to the forthcoming scientific and project developments of KSUAE in the field of strategies for the sustainable development of historical territories of the Republic of Tatarstan and the further development of a practice-oriented approach to teaching.
