Global Recognition: Forbes Highlights the Creative Work of Our Architecture Students
Forbes has published an article about the finalists of the international Radical Innovation 2026 awards—including a project by architecture students from KSUAE! The authors — second- and third-year students Nastya Sergeeva and Katya Buyanova—have reached the finals and are now competing against a team from Mexico for this prestigious award.
The prize recognizes architects and designers for innovative concepts in hotels and the broader hospitality industry. Under the guidance of the tutor Ilnar Akhtyamov, Katya and Nastya proposed an underwater hotel designed for diving enthusiasts. An online vote for the best student project is currently underway in the US. Anyone interested can vote to support our students and the university in this competition (category "Student projects" and their "DIVING HOTEL" project).
The competition takes place annually, showcasing the most cutting-edge ideas in the hospitality sector. KSUAE students have won the competition before and are once again demonstrating their high level of professional skill. The event is sponsored by major global hotel chains looking for unique, unconventional ideas that could potentially be brought to life.
We are rooting for our students and wish them victory!
