Digital Roads: KSUAE graduates first specialists in the new field

KSUAE celebrated the first graduation of its unique program, "Digital Technologies in Road Construction and Traffic Management." Modern road management speaks the language of numbers, neural networks, and big data.

The first graduates of the program, 23.03.01 "Transport Process Technology," are a new wave of engineers who, from their first year, have been immersed in the real-world challenges of the industry. Their education was built not on dry theory, but on hands-on contact with cutting-edge technologies.

They attended the prestigious TRANS AI 2024 conference in Moscow, where they saw the Evocargo N1 autonomous electric truck (already in service with giants like Wildberries, Marvel Logistics, and Russian Post), visited the train control center, and personally tested a driverless train on the Moscow Central Circle. A frequent guest at the Digital Road Technologies Department is Unified Operator, a potential employer specializing in the development and design of intelligent transportation systems. With its support, graduates received training, providing guidance for professional development and explaining the competencies needed for employment. Trips to the M-12 toll road (stage 8) with K-Telematics allowed students to gain a first-hand understanding of toll collection systems, weight and dimension control, and automated traffic management systems, rather than simply studying them from textbooks.

For the first time, a KSUAE student team entered the top 20 of the WatCTF World Cybersecurity Championship. After all, transportation systems require not only intelligence but also protection. Victories in the N.I. Lobachevsky, annual participation in the Kazan Digital Week forum, and summer internships at Unified Operator, K-Telematics, Novye Geodeticheskie Sistemy, and Avtodor SC prove that these graduates are recognized in the industry.

However, the main test was the successful defense of their final qualification theses. The graduates demonstrated a brilliant mastery of professional terminology and modern software systems, and their engineering solutions were not simply substantiated—they were economically and technologically calculated. On the graduation ceremony day, KSUAE Rector Rashit Nizamov and the leadership of the Institute of Transport Constructions personally congratulated the pioneers of the "Digital Technologies in Road Construction and Traffic Management" program, who opened a new page in the history of KSUAE.

We don't just graduate specialists. We form the backbone of the digital transport and road infrastructure sector in the country. We are proud of each of them and are confident that great horizons await them. The start has been given. The industry eagerly awaits its professionals to collaborate on creating the infrastructure and transport of the future!
