KSUAE at the 17th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" 

The 17th International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" concluded in Kazan. It is the main platform for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Islamic world. The Forum aims to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
More than 20,000 representatives from 99 countries and 75 constituent entities of the Russian Federation participated in the Forum. Approximately 149 events were held.
The Forum was attended by Rector R.K. Nizamov, Vice-Rector for Research E.A. Vdovin, representatives of institute directorates, faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering.
The Forum also included the International Property Market (IPM), an international exhibition in real estate, architecture, and design. It highlights cutting-edge projects and services in architecture and construction and serves as a platform for effective interaction between international experts in architecture and construction, business representatives, investors, international and Russian development companies, and builders. The exhibition, which occupied an area of ​​over 1,600 square meters, brought together 45 major construction companies from Russia, Turkey, and Turkmenistan.
The KSUAE exhibit was visited by R.N. Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia M.Sh. Khusnullin, Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of Russia I.E. Fayzullin, and other officials.
Rector R.K. Nizamov presented the distinguished guests with information about the unique experience of creating research and educational centers at KSUAE as part of the development of an international-level university campus. Students from the Institute of Architecture and Design, winners and finalists of international, national, and regional competitions, completed their work at scientific and educational centers and spaces focused on architectural creativity. The project included the restoration and conversion of a partially destroyed cultural heritage site—a 19th-century state-owned wine warehouse in Mariupol (DPR)—into a hotel.
The KSUAE exhibition featured works by students participating in the TiArch studio at the KSUAE "BFFT.space" scientific and educational space who have won prestigious international student architectural competitions, in which KSUAE is practically the only one representing our country.
The key event of the IPM international exhibition's business program was the plenary session "Artificial Intelligence – a Growth Point and a Unifying Link in the Construction Industry" (organized by the Ministry of Construction of Russia). Speakers included Deputy Prime Minister of Russia M.Sh. Khusnullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan M.M. Aizatullin, and leading Russian and international experts in the field of artificial intelligence implementation in construction.
Rector R.K. Nizamov, faculty, and students of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering participated in the plenary session. As part of the 17th International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" and the events of the Year "Kazan - the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World," the M.Kh. Khasanov Institute of Tatar Encyclopedia and Regional Studies of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences held a roundtable discussion titled "Muslim Architecture in the Historical and Cultural Heritage of Russia: On the 260th Anniversary of the Construction of the Marjani Mosque in Kazan." Professor A.G. Sattarov of the Department of Architecture spoke at the roundtable. On the same day, the Kazan Expo IEC hosted a thematic session titled "Muslim Historical and Cultural Heritage: A Driver of Regional Economic Development and International Tourism" (organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan). Associate Professor of the Department of Reconstruction, Restoration of Architectural Heritage, and the Foundations of Architecture S.G. Persova presented a paper on the Islamic historical and cultural heritage of the Volga region as a basis for the spatial organization of tourism.
The plenary session of the 17th International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum" was held on the topic "From Points on the Map to Points of Growth: Combining Technological and Financial Initiatives". Rector R.K. Nizamov, faculty, and students of Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering participated in the plenary session.
Students from KSUAE participated in the business game "ZASTROI-KA: Team Breakthrough" (organized by Ak Bars Dom), in events of the initiative career guidance project "I am the Builder of the Future!" (organized by the Ministry of Construction of Russia), round tables, conferences, and sessions within the forum.
