In anticipation of the most magical holiday, KSUAE hosted a vibrant New Year's Eve party for international students "Masquerade Party", organized by the KSUAE International Relations Dept.and the KSUAE Association of International Students . The event was a warm pre-holiday treat for those celebrating the New Year away from home this year. KSUAE international students from various years and majors, including students in the preparatory Russian language course, participated in the celebration.
The evening's program was rich and interactive: KSUAE Vice-Rector I.E. Vildanov welcomed all participants and guests, wished them a Happy New Year, and wished them a wonderful and joyful holiday. Students prepared creative performances: international students in the Russian language preparatory course recited A.S. Pushkin's poem "Winter Morning" in Russian, Spanish, Turkish, French, and Arabic; students from Colombia, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Turkey sang national songs in Portuguese, English, Turkish, and Spanish. Students from various countries proudly shared a piece of their culture. Russian students Anastasia Popova and Azalia Askarova happily participated in the evening with beautiful vocal performances.
During the celebration, many international students were awarded letters of gratitude, diplomas, and certificates for their participation and victories in 2025 Russian language Olympiads, sports competitions, and citywide contests, as well as for their active involvement in organizing university events and assisting international applicants during the admissions campaign.
Furthermore, there were many interesting and competitive contests and games, students danced and sang, and, of course, everyone received a New Year's gift. Team competitions and fun contests helped everyone get to know each other better and bond. Charming students Youssef Darouish (Morocco) and Maya Vargas (Ecuador) served as hosts throughout the evening. During the celebration, the students organized a festive buffet using the treats they brought. The event culminated in a lively disco, featuring world hits and popular music from various countries, and the awarding of the Miss and Mister of the evening for their elegant attire. The evening concluded with warm wishes for good luck, health, and success in the new year in dozens of languages.
The celebration took place in a friendly, warm, and joyful atmosphere, bringing together different cultures in one place and proving once again that student fraternity and friendship between peoples know no boundaries. All participants were delighted with the joyful celebration and expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers, wishing them many more exciting encounters. "It's an incredible feeling when so many nationalities come together in one place to celebrate something kind and bright," shared Ali from Turkey. "I felt like I wasn't a stranger here, but part of one big student family."
