November 19 is Higher Education Teachers' Day. Congratulations!
On November 19, we celebrate a professional holiday—Higher Education Teacher Day! The holiday was established by Order No. 992 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, V.N. Falkov, dated November 1, 2021. This holiday is new, but over the past five years, it has already won the hearts of teachers and students.
On this day, words of gratitude and appreciation are expressed for the noble work of all teachers at Russian higher education institutions. The holiday is celebrated annually on November 19—the birthday of the outstanding Russian scientist and educator Mikhail Lomonosov, one of the founders of Russian education and Moscow State University. The establishment of this new professional holiday was initiated by President Vladimir Putin with the aim of enhancing the prestige of the higher education teaching profession. This will provide university faculty with a status commensurate with their role, and will also increase young people's interest in the teaching profession and attract new talent to the research community.
A university professor not only teaches students and imparts knowledge, but also cultivates an interest in this knowledge, a desire to learn new things, and develops intellectual curiosity. It is thanks to professors that young people develop an interest in scientific research, make new scientific discoveries, and create promising technologies. This creates a talent pool of professionals for all fields and spheres that shape the country's future.
Dear KSUAE faculty,
Congratulations on your professional holiday! I express my gratitude for your hard work, attentive attitude toward students, mentorship, professional experience, and the knowledge you pass on to the younger generation. I wish you all good health, new scientific discoveries, fruitful work, and new heights in your professional endeavors!
