KSUAE International students completed a course on social and cultural adaptation

KSUAE International students, first-year undergraduate and graduate students, attended a course on social and cultural adaptation. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan in collaboration with the Center for Social and Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Citizens.

The social and cultural adaptation program is implemented to help foreign citizens overcome social isolation, establish social relationships that facilitate conflict-free coexistence in Russian society, and ensure national and public security. N.V. Abrosimova, Director of the Center, spoke to KSUAE international students from Côte d'Ivoire, Iran, Cameroon, Turkmenistan, Burkina Faso, Angola, Mauritania, Nigeria, Guinea, Morocco, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Benin, Peru, Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, and Yemen about: - the cultural characteristics and fundamentals of Russian legislation; - the rules and norms of behavior accepted in Russian society; - interaction with government agencies and local governments; - the status and rights of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation and migration registration rules; - accessing government services in the areas of migration, social, information, and other areas; - liability for offenses related to the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; - liability for participating in and assisting terrorist and extremist activities, and inciting social, racial, national, and religious hatred; - the negative consequences of joining various informal youth groups and radical organizations; - interethnic conflicts and ways to resolve them.

At the end of the course, the students were tested on their acquired knowledge.

Similar adaptation activities are held at KSUAE on a regular basis.
