Panel session "Strategies for spatial development of urban agglomerations"
The KSUAE scientific and educational center "Geodesy" hosted a panel session "Strategies for the spatial development of urban agglomerations", organized within the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". The event brought together leading experts, representatives of various scientific schools, teachers of the KSUAE Department of Urban Planning and Rural Planning and urban planning students.
Key areas of discussion: - modern approaches to master planning, - legal aspects of agglomeration management, - international experience in spatial development, - promising growth points of urban systems.
The moderator was Ismail Lukmanov, Chief Advisor to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Speakers presented relevant research: - Grigoriev Oleg , Director of the State Budgetary Institution "Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan" - "Master Plan of the Kazan Agglomeration"; - Mekhtiev Ali , Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of the Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov - "KarTU named after Abylkas Saginov: Prospects for the Development of International Cooperation"; - Gritsenko Elena, Doctor of Law, Professor of St. Petersburg State University - "Legal Forms of Organization of Public Authority in Urban Agglomerations"; - Zakirova Yulia, PhD in Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department of Urban Planning, together with Zakieva Lilia, PhD in Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department and Assistant of the Department Musabirov Timur presented a report on the topic: "Growth Points of Urban Agglomerations of the Republic of Tatarstan"; Orlova Natalia , PhD in Architecture, Senior Lecturer of the KSUAE Department of Urban Development — "Kama Agglomeration. General Plan of the City of Naberezhnye Chelny"; - Pomazansky Andrey, PhD in Law, Leading Researcher of the Institute of Historical and Cultural Studies under the Government of the Russian Federation — "Interaction of Public Authorities and Civil Society Institutions for the Purpose of Developing the Scientific Potential of Urban Agglomerations".
The session became an important platform for exchanging experience between Russian and foreign specialists, discussing current urban development challenges, and establishing professional contacts between scientists and practitioners.
