On February 6-8, 2025, the Kazan International Architecture and Construction Forum "Kazanysh" was held in Kazan. The participants and speakers included 400 architects and urbanists from 25 countries, including the BRICS countries, rectors and teachers of the world's leading universities. The Forum program included strategic sessions and educational events, where participants exchanged international cooperation practices, shared experiences in improving the urban environment, the most interesting world projects for organizing territories near water, restoring the historical environment and bioclimatic architecture.
KSUAE was one of the main participants in this Forum. Students and teachers of the university took an active part in the events together with the Rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov, Director of the Institute of Architecture and Design A.I. Romanova. During multilateral meetings, representatives of several foreign universities from Brazil, South Africa, Ethiopia, as well as architects from Brazil and Thailand expressed a great desire to visit KSUAE.
During the visit, the foreign guests got acquainted with the scientific and educational centers of the university, learned about the areas and forms of training architects at the university, about the participation and victories of student architects in many international architectural competitions, and also actively communicated with students of the Institute of Architecture and Design. The guests were very impressed by the opportunities and high level of training and teaching at KSUAE, the well-equipped infrastructure and practical workshops in all areas of training, putting them at least on the same level or even higher than foreign ones.
Professors from Ethiopia and South Africa were impressed by the quality of hand graphics and drawings of our students, their creation of models and even decided to implement in practice some of our methods of working with materials when training architects in their universities.
Professors from Brazil highly appreciated the long-term foreign internship in world architectural bureaus and studios by our students in the last year of study.
The architect from Thailand noted the quality and high potential of the teamwork of the KSUAE "TiArch" studio architecture students, in which they work on projects in mixed teams of just starting their studies and experienced senior students, including master's students. Everyone shares their experience and knowledge, which has a positive effect on the final result of the project. As a token of gratitude for the visit, she contributed her book on architecture, From Manufacture to Architecture, to the university library collection.
All foreign guests thanked the KSUAE management, teachers and students for the warm welcome and promised to share their vivid impressions of our university with their colleagues around the world. The meeting participants agreed to develop very close academic and scientific cooperation between the universities through academic mobility, organizing joint thematic master classes, conferences, lecturing, exchanging literature and publications.
