KSUAE organized the International Conference “Reinforced Concrete and Stone Structures: Present and Future”

On November 12-15, 2024, the International Scientific Conference "Reinforced Concrete and Stone Structures: Present and Future" was held at the KSUAE. The conference organizers: KSUAE, Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Federal Center for Normation, Standardization and Technical Assessment of Conformity in Construction, Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of KSUAE in 2025, the 50th anniversary of the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Stone Structures of the University and the 105th anniversary of the Kazan School of Reinforced Concrete. The plenary part of the conference was held in the KSUAE multifunctional center "Forum".

The conference noted the significant contribution of KSUAE to the development of the scientific potential of the industry and the regulatory framework in the field of reinforced concrete and stone structures. In order to develop and implement innovations from 2021 to 2023, under the leadership of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, 9 sets of rules and 35 national and interstate standards were updated in the field of reinforced concrete and stone structures. In addition, 5 new standards have been developed for testing and calculating such structures. Currently, with the active participation of the professional community, leading scientific organizations, including KSUAE, draft long-term plans for the development and approval of sets of rules and updating previously approved sets of rules of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, national standardization programs, and applied scientific research programs are being formed. During the conference, participants also discussed nonlinear models of materials, structures, buildings and constructions during design, optimization and reconstruction, mathematical models in the mechanics of concrete and reinforced concrete destruction, computer modeling of reinforced concrete structures, buildings and constructions, calculation models and methods for calculating stone and reinforced masonry, structures with polymer composite reinforcement, etc.

At the plenary session and sectional sessions of the conference "Reinforced Concrete Structures" and "Stone Structures", heads, scientists and specialists from various specialized industrial enterprises, many Russian and foreign universities presented thier research reports.
