KSUAE Foreign students - participants of BRICS events in Kazan

June was remembered for major international events in Kazan: the Second International Forum of Ministers of Education of the BRICS Countries “Shaping the Future” and the 5th BRICS Sports Games.

Our foreign students did not stand aside from these events and took an active part in them.

A meeting took place between Tom Erdimi, Minister of Education of the Republic of Chad, and undergraduate and graduate students from Chad studying in Kazan. The meeting was attended by KSUAE foreign students from Chad: Bilal Hassan Abakar (1st year PhD student), Mahamat Adil Suleiman (2nd year student), Hassan Saleh Zen and Issa Fadul Zen (preparatory course of the Russian language). During the meeting, foreign students spoke about the specialties in which they are studying, the advantages of studying with scholarships, and discussed the opportunities and prospects for further study at Kazan universities. The Minister of the Republic of Chad noted that real prospects for allocating more scholarships for the education of Chadian applicants at Russian universities are currently being discussed with the Government of the Russian Federation.

As part of the BRICS Games, competitions were held in various sports. A KSUAE foreign student from Colombia, Christian David Mosquera Duran, played as part of the basketball team in the Fijital Games, in several matches with teams from Armenia, Abkhazia, Cuba, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Russia and Belarus.

We thank our foreign students for their active participation and worthy representation of KSUAE in important international events held in Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan.
