KSUAE academic staff and students took part in the "Kazanysh" architectural and construction forum

KSUAE academic staff and students took part in the business program of the architectural and construction forum “Kazanysh” - over the course of three days, the forum was attended by more than 400 our students from various fields of study. Despite the architectural focus of the forum, the lectures and discussions turned out to be useful also for students-economists and engineers.

The Forum took place at several venues, with speakers speaking in four halls. An exhibition of KSUAE was organized with an illustration of identity in science, art, architecture and education. All three days, the curators of the exhibition from the Institute of Architecture and Design talked about the concept and the meanings underlying it. The theme of this Forum is reflection of identity. The students were tasked with thinking about how maintaining identity would contribute to the effective strategic development of the city.

Students-architects attended the opening ceremony of the event, and in the evening they came to support the speakers at the pitch session, where they presented projects on three key topics of the forum: “Local Identity”, “City on the Water” and “Creative Redevelopment”.As part of the interim presentation of projects, they also presented their works to the expert community as part of a competition for the development of an architectural concept for objects, situated in one of the Kazan streets.

Our academic staff took part in the discussion “How an architect is formed” took place. The participants jointly tried to find answers to the questions: “What does architectural education mean today?”, “What and how are they taught in architectural universities today?”.

In addition to the educational program, various master classes were presented at the event site, in which KSUAE students participated with pleasure.
