STUDENT RESIDENCES

We provide with rooms all our students that need accommodation during their studies at our University. All international students live in our student hostel sharing one room with 3-4 students on equal rights with Russian students. Living on campus is a great way to make friends.

In our student hostels there are: a recreation hall, a gym, utility and storage rooms, premises for the administration of the campus. The hosted students are provided with bed linen. All dishes and a fridge are purchased at the expense of students. One hostel is are block type for 2 rooms. Each block has a bathroom and a shower. The other hostel for Russian language course applicants is an ordinary type hostel with rooms along a corridor, 2 bathroms and one kitchen for a floor.  There is a washing machine for a charge.

You can apply for the KSUAE residence rooms at the moment of your application just sending your first and last names with your date of birth to our Admission Office email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

You will receive a provisional room offer in line with our deadline dates.

Make your payment per one year accomodation  in line with our deadline dates, by bank transfer or any terminal that can be found in the campus. Then you should sign Accomodation Agreement.

Once your payment has been made your room allocation will be confirmed.

The students should follow the terms and conditions of residence. You will be informed about them at the moment of application. All hosted students should keep the rooms clean and follow time schedule.

Or if you prefer to live off-campus you can find any other accommodation with more comfortable living conditions (at separate cost). Here you can choose one of the city hostels closer to the University (Vahitovskiy District). Accomodation in Russia .

STUDENT SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND SPORTS LIFE

Youth policy is a priority area of our University. KSUAE is a big and friendly team of a truly creative, talented and ambitious people, with all the conditions for realization of students' creativity.

Student life at KSUAE is full of bright events such as “Mister and Miss KSUAE“ “Student of the year”, “Freshman's day”, “Foreign Student’s Day”, New year Masquerade ball, “Tatyana’s Day” (Student’s Day), “Students Spring”, military-patriotic game “Zarnitza (Summer lightning)”, activists forum etc.

Students can take an active part in public life of the University. The most important Student organizations of KSUAE are Student council and Headquarter of the student brigade.

Student Council

The Student Council of KSUAE is a student governing body which represents the interests of our students. Student Council members are leaders of student associations. Chairman of the Student Council is elected by the Assembly of leaders of the Student Associations of KSUAE by open vote.

Headquarter of the student brigade

This is a team of our students working on various construction projects, proving the honor of the University all over Russia. Our teams participated in various construction sites, from residential buildings, roads to sports stadiums and oil refineries: Universiade-2013 facilities in Kazan, Olympic Games-2014 facilities in Sochi, oil refinery "TANEKO" in Nizhnekamsk city (near Kazan), Federal highway Chita-Khabarovsk, drilling base on peninsula Yamal, construction of "Vostochny" cosmodrome in Amur region Russia), “The peaceful atom” in Ozersk as well as many other objects in our home city of Kazan.

If you want to gain real experience in construction of buildings, structures and roads, you can join the student brigade of KSUAE.

Association of Foreign Students and Postgraduates of the city of Kazan

International students of our University can join the large foreign student community of all our city universities through the Association of Foreign Students and Postgraduates of the city of Kazan. The Association was found in 2007 to unite all foreign students studying at different universities of Kazan. The objectives of the Association are:

- Strengthening of mutual understanding between foreign and Russian students

- Protection and representation of rights for foreign students

- Assistance in the social adaptation of foreign students

The Association organizes events, contests, conferences for foreign students of our city. Such as beauty and talent contest “Pearl of the world”, Russian language contest, all-Russian festival “Dialogue of Cultures” and others.

SPORTS

KSUAE is the most sports-oriented University in our region, the Republic of Tatarstan.

There is an opportunity to do sports for the masters of sports and all the people willing to improve their health in KSUAE.

We rank first in the Games of Tatarstan universities in team scoring in 32 kinds of sport competitions.

The team of the University staff is the Game winner among the Tatarstan universities in team total for eight consecutive years.

Our students usually take part at the major sports and athletic Contest between students of all local universities called "Spartakiad". Besides, throughout the whole academic year students, professors and the university staff take part at the university Spartakiad, the contest between the University Institutes. Students can compete in such sports like: Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Athletics, Ping pong, Skiing, Chess, Swimming, Badminton and Orienteering.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS OF THE UNIVERSITY

We consider globalization one of our main priorities. Our University runs a large number of international projects and cooperates with various universities worldwide (see below) in various fileds of common interest: Civil engineering, Architecture, Design, Information technology, Urban planning, Road construction, Environmental Engineering and others. The fields of cooperation cover joint research projects, student and staff mobility, joint conferences, internships, workshops, master classes, summer schools, etc. KSUAE takes part and organizes numerous international events like conferences, round tables, workshops, summer schools and specialized exhibitions. Our academic groups engage foreign partners to enhance the teaching, learning outcomes, and research profiles of the partners involved.

Our researchers organize and take part in different national and international scientific conferences and panels. KSUAE holds scientific conferences, seminars, workshops with the participation of leading Russian and world researchers.

Our University develops different forms of academic moblity (academic staff, researchers and all level students) with its international partners within Inter-institutional agreements or European Union's funding programmes.

We welcome International experts and professors specialized in the field of architecture, civil and industrial engineering, road construction, construction management and other areas of mutual interest.

Since 2012 our University has been taking part in the European Tempus and Erasmus+ Programmes, the European Union's funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport:

Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals (the mobility of students, faculty and staff members providing financial support within inter-institutional agreements between institutions from Programme and Partner Countries).
This Action mobility has been realized by our University with such partners as:
University of Pavia (Italy) in 2016;
Democritus University of Thrace (Greece) in 2019;
University of Basilicata (Italy) in 2021-2023.

Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices (organisations from different participating countries work together, develop, share and transfer best practices and innovative approaches in the fields of education, training and youth).
Within this Action 2 our University has  participated in the following projects:

1) Tempus 530793-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-SE-TEMPUS-JPCR "Master programmes on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficicency in Buildings in Central Asia and Russia" (2012-2015), and

2) Erasmus+ Project 574049-EPP-1-2016-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Modernization of the Curricula in sphere of smart building engineering - Green Building (GREB)” (2016-2019).

3) Erasmus+ Project 618843-EPP-1-2020-1-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Capacity Building in Sustainablity for Architectural Heritage - SAH" (2021-2024).

Our University has good cooperation with the University of East London since 2012. Our collaboration is mainly developed in delivering of Dual degree programmes in Architecture, Civil Engineering and Construction Management. It's a GREAT opportunity for our students to earn both British and Russian BSc degrees during the same period of study, to gain VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS in the fields of architecture and civil engineering in the context of international practice and standards such as Russian industry standards, Eurocodes (UK BS EN), Asian Design Standards (ASMS), BIM technologies, sustainable construction, etc. Enhanced employability with globally-recognized qualifications.

International Relations Department of the University

All international activities of the University are coordinated by its International Relations Department as a negotiator with international universities and students. Its main function is to promote and develop international mobility, academic and research projects.

The Department assists International students applying to our University with the aim to study Russian as foreign language or to take our undergraduate (bachelor), graduate (master) or postgraduate (PhD) courses. It deals with both the recruitment, admission, visa support and accomodation of our overseas students.

The Department comprises also the Italian cultural centre in Kazan that provides everyone Italian language courses and spreads Italian culture in the region; develops relations with Italian academic institutions to give an opportunity for our University students to have academic internships in Italy.
