Research interests: Using cloud technologies in building design; server system for building enterprise resources management with biometrical identifications and encryption of the data; implementation of information modeling technologies and 3D scanning in the reconstruction projects on historical sites; informational modeling of building objects taking into account  the estimated cost and calendar planning; implementation of BIM technologies in engineering higher education; implementation of technological and management innovations: BIM model in architecture, design, construction and operation.

Number of Publications (for the last 5 years): 20, among them research papers – 19; teaching-methodical papers – 1; publications included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications recommended by the Russian State Commission for Academic Degrees – 3.

In 2006 Dr. Kordonchik founded at KSUAE the new course "Information systems and technologies” (in civil engineering). The course was successfully accredited.

Since 2008 David Kordonchik is Vice Rector for Development (responsible for organizational, legal and social issues, information technologies of the University).

In 2008 - 2019 David Kordonchik was the Head of the Department "Information systems and technologies in construction and CAD systems" at the University. 

Since 2022 - Vice-Rector for Digital Technologies.

Chief-Editor of the Research and Technology Journal “KSUAE News” which is in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications recommended by the Russian State Commission for Academic Degrees

Supervisor and consultant for: two PhD dissertations, three PhD students and one Doctoral Thesis

On September 12, 2008 Prof. Nizamov was elected as Rector of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering. In 2013 and 2021 he was re-elected as Rector again.

We practice an inclusive approach to supporting our disabled and dyslexic students in their coursework assignments and assessments. This means that additional time is given for the completion of each coursework/assignment.  In this way you can be sure that your disability/dyslexia has been taken into account right from the start.

KSUAE is constantly trying to identify and eliminate the main barriers for disabled people to accessing KSUAE’s education and/or employment and this issue, being a sensitive one, is under constant review.

Our university provides educational opportunities for disabled people and persons with special needs. There are specially equipped classrooms at KSUAE with special desks for disabled people. The library and the canteen are accessible to persons with disabilities. Parking spaces are available. There is unimpeded access to and from the university campus.

In the 2nd building of KSUAE located at Zelenaya Str., 1 - 420043 Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, there is library on the first floor which is accessible from outside with no height difference. Also in the 2nd building of KSUAE in the room № 2-101 there are specially equipped desks for students with visual and hearing impairments and special desks with height adjustment for learners moving in wheelchairs. Door dimensions are adjusted for wheelchairs to pass through.

KSUAE has special technical and software tools for the education of persons with disabilities:

  • Video magnifiers
  • Speech synthesizer programs
  • Alternative data entry devices
  • Information reproduction devices

Other special equipment

KSUAE provides special accommodation conditions for disabled people. The student residence № 4 (Zelenaya Street, 2) has two specialized places for disabled persons, located on the 1st floor.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

The hub of the campus is our striking Library "15". Our library houses hundreds of subject-specific books and the University’s Archives and Special Collections. Our aim is to support students and staff of the University in all areas of their study and research.

It is an attractive, friendly environment to work and relax. There are quiet and social study areas in the library.

To have an access to the electronic resources of the library all students get their personal login and password.

Opening hours:

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m - 7 p.m; break - 1.45 p.m - 2.15 p.m

Saturday: 10 a.m - 2 p.m
