Professor of KSUAE Nailya Rakhimova made a presentation at the 16th International Congress on Cement Chemistry (ICCC 2023)

Professor of the Department of Construction Materials of KSUAE N.R. Rakhimova took part in the 16th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC 2023), held from September 18 to 22, 2023 in Bangkok (Thailand).

ICCC is one of the most authoritative and representative scientific forums, held every four years. At the conference, leading scientists and industrialists, researchers and graduate students present and discuss modern advances in the research and application of cements and concretes.

At the 16th Congress on Cement Chemistry, held under the motto “Further reduction of CO2 emissions and a closed cycle in the production and use of cement and concrete,” reports were presented by more than 2,000 participants from 49 countries in 10 areas: 1. The future of construction 2. New aspects in the production of Portland cement clinker 3. Hydration of Portland cement 4. Reducing the content of Portland cement clinker. Mineral supplements 5. Research methods and modeling 6. New low-carbon cements 7. Chemical additives 8. Improving technology and improving the quality of concrete 9. Durability of concrete 10. Sustainable development, closed loop, recycling and recycling 11. Standardization of cements and concretes.

Nailya Rakhimova is a member of the scientific committee of the Congress. She made a report on the topic “Alkali-activated cements based on natural and artificial mixtures of clay and carbonate rocks.” Plenary reports were published in the journal "Cement and Concrete Research", the rest - in the form of a collection.
