KSUAE Professor V.G. Khozin spoke at the Conference of cement, concrete, and construction chemicals manufacturers
The conference "RUCEM: "Open Dialogue of Cement, Concrete, Construction Chemicals Manufacturers" was held in Nizhny Novgorod.
About 100 representatives of educational institutions and manufacturing enterprises from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Penza, Yaroslavl, Volsk, Vladimir, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg took part in the conference in a hybrid format (offline + online).
The reports of the participants - scientists and manufacturers - considered the issues of the state of the cement, concrete, construction chemicals market, certification and quality control, logistics of raw materials. As part of the conference, a tour of the enterprise for the production of decorative facing panels from colored fine-grained concrete, molded in polymer matrices, was held.
Head of the Department of TSMIK prof. Khozin V.G. delivered a report on "The Role of Low Water-Demand Cements in Reducing the Carbon Footprint of the Global Cement Industry." The report generated great interest and discussion. He also told the conference participants about the creation of scientific and educational centers on the KSUAE campus, their role in educational and research activities, practice-oriented training of students, and innovative developments by faculty members of the department and the university.
