KSUAE RESEARCH 2023

The formation of an international-level campus is successfully continuing at KSUAE. 18 scientific and educational centers, sites and spaces of international level have already been created, the best in their field in terms of equipment in the Russian Federation, in which practice-oriented education is implemented at all levels of training, which really makes it possible to combine scientific research and an innovative educational environment, to attract masters and graduate students to real work.

In 2023, new scientific and educational centers “Digital Roads”, “Security”, “Development” were created at our University. At the beginning of 2024 the scientific and educational center “Potoki” was inaugurated.

On the basis of scientific schools, the scientific and educational centers, KSUAE scientists, within the framework of instructions from government bodies, economic agreements and government contracts in the interests of business, are carrying out Research activities that is relevant for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation, the results of which are being implemented in real construction production today:


KSUAE, on behalf of the Federal Center for Standardization and Regulation (FAU FSC), contracts with JSC UMATEX, Rosatom State Corporation carries out R&D of the highest level on the creation and revision of Federal Standards (GOSTs and SP):


The effectiveness of the architectural scientific school of KSUAE is confirmed by the achievements achieved in 2023-2024 and victory at prestigious competitions in the USA, Vietnam, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, where KSASU almost exclusively represents our country in the international student competition space:
- AIA Phoenix Metro Design Ideas (USA), more than 120 participants from Canada, Germany, USA;
- Adaptive Reuse: Design Transformations for Community Healthcare (Taiwan), 70 applications from China, Canada, Germany, USA, UAE, India, Mexico;
- Radical Innovation Awards (USA), more than 70 participants from various architectural schools around the world;
- Hanoi Ad Hoc: (Re) Thinking the modern dream of Recent past (Vietnam) 435 participants;
- NUWAO International Symposium on Nature-based Urban Climate Adaptation for Wellbeing (New Zealand) more than 100 participants;
- architectural competition of the Nisshin Kogyo company (Japan) more than 400 participants;
- Dokdo Guesthouse Design (South Korea) more than 100 participants.

Four scientific projects of KSUAE became winners of grant competitions of the Russian Science Foundation and a competition of youth scientific grants and awards of the Republic of Tatarstan (organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan).

KSAUE students and graduates actively participate in the “Student Startup” competition of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform”. In 2023, 20 KSASU projects became winners of the competition. In terms of efficiency, KSASU is among the top five universities in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2023, 6 scientific conferences were held at KSUAE, incl. with publications in highly rated scientific and technical journals.

The university has received 43 patents for inventions and utility models, and filed 62 patent applications.

In 2023, a new Dissertation Council 24.2.309.02 was opened in KSUAE for scientific specialties 5.10.3. Types of art (technical aesthetics and design) and 2.1.11. Theory and history of architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical and architectural heritage.

In 2023, 4 new electronic scientific journals began to be published in the areas of scientific activity of the university, included in the RSCI database. The magazine “Izvestia KGASU/KSUAE News” confirmed the highest category K1 from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission.
