Delegation of Architects from International Islamic University Malaysia Visits KSUAE
On October 20, 2026, a delegation of architects from the International Islamic University Malaysia visited KSUAE (Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering). The delegation included Professor of Architecture Elina Binti Mohd Husini, Laboratory Director Ahmad Rida Bin Abdul Razak, Dr. Amir Haris Bin Ahmad, and architect Mohd Azrin Md Lajis. The guests were welcomed by KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov.
The delegations discussed potential cooperation between their institutions, the organization of joint projects, and the establishment of long-term friendly relations. A.I. Romanova, Director of the Institute of Architecture and Design, accompanied by faculty members, gave the guests a tour of the university's research and educational centers.
The Malaysian visitors delivered lectures to students of the KSUAE Institute of Architecture and Design, covering topics such as architectural design in tropical climates—specifically the challenge of balancing protection against heat, humidity, and heavy rainfall with the integration of buildings into complex natural landscapes. Other subjects included incorporating energy efficiency into planning, heritage preservation, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, green architecture, and the concept of the smart city.
The presentations generated significant interest among the students, who engaged with the guests by asking questions in English. This meeting marks another step toward strengthening cooperation ahead of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Malaysia, which will be celebrated in 2027.
