Social and Cultural Adaptation: A Lecture for KSUAE International First-Year Students
At the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering a meeting was held for first-year international students, focusing on their social and cultural adaptation. The session was led by N. V. Abrosimova, a representative of the "Adaptation Center". The meeting aimed to provide guidance to students from various countries—both near and far abroad—to help them successfully integrate into the Russian educational and social environment.
The lecture covered several key topics in detail: - The fundamentals of Russian legislation and how to interact with state and local government authorities; - The legal status and rights of foreign nationals, as well as migration registration regulations; - Procedures for accessing public services in the areas of migration, social welfare, and information; - The risks associated with joining informal youth groups or radical organizations, along with methods for resolving interethnic conflicts and others. The students followed the presentation with great interest and watched a video highlighting Russian cultural nuances and generally accepted social norms.
The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, allowing the first-year students to get answers to their specific questions and concerns.
