KSUAE hosted the III International Student Festival InterFest "Mosaic of Cultures 2026"

The III International Student Festival InterFest "Mosaic of Cultures 2026" was held at KSUAE. It brought together creative and talented students from 18 countries: Russia, Morocco, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Senegal, Egypt, Mauritania, India, Ghana, Haiti, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Angola. This year, the festival was dedicated to a special event: the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

International students from different Kazan  Universities  actively participated in the festival. The festival was organized by the International Relations Office and the Association of International Students of KSUAE.

Such events foster friendly collaboration between international and Russian students and foster a tolerant, multicultural environment overall. The name "Mosaic of Cultures" is highly symbolic, as the strength of nations lies not only in unity but also in diversity! Traditions, languages, music, and dances from around the world came together on stage.

In the first part of the festival, KSUAE international students presented the most typical national sweets from their countries: Bangladesh, Morocco, Mauritania, and Peru. Faculty, students, and guests had the opportunity to sample and appreciate the students' culinary talents in a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, before the start of the Festival, a short introductory tour of the KSUAE campus and its research and educational centers was organized for guests from various universities.

In the second part of the festive evening, KSUAE Rector R.K. Nizamov welcomed all festival participants and guests, wishing them creative success and good luck, noting that KSUAE always welcomes international students and supports them in every possible way.

International students showcased their creative talents: vocal performances in Russian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese; classical compositions on the violin and piano; Chinese students from the Kazan Conservatory performed heartfelt vocal performances and opera; students from Turkey, Peru, and Morocco expressively and heartfeltly recited a poem by G. Tukay in Russian, Spanish, Arabic, and Turkish; dance teams from India, Latin America, and Turkmenistan displayed the vibrant colors of their national dances; and students from a dozen countries presented a colorful fashion show in national costumes. The Festival included several awards ceremonies to recognize the achievements of international students, including a culinary competition and the annual "KSUAE Foreign Student 2026" competition.

The evening enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, thanks to the wonderful hosts—KSUAE international students Darouish Youssef (Morocco) and González Valentina (Ecuador). All performances resonated with the audience, who greeted each participant with thunderous applause.

Among the Festival's guests were international students from various Kazan universities, as well as KSUAE faculty and students, who also actively participated in the program, answering questions in the "Around the World in 10 Facts" quiz. The event concluded with a ceremony presenting diplomas to festival participants.

Participants and spectators shared enthusiastic reviews of the festival, remarking on the high level of organization and preparation of all the creative performances, and the joyful, friendly atmosphere of the evening. They expressed sincere gratitude to the organizers and wished for such a wonderful event to be repeated again and again.

We would like to express special gratitude to the KSUAE administration for their support and to all the university departments that contributed to the festival's preparations.
