24/04/2026KSUAE restorers, designers, urban planners, and architects are the best!
The Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (NNGASU) hosted the All-Russian Student Team Olympiad in "Architecture," which includes the following tracks: "Architecture," "Restoration and Reconstruction of Architectural Heritage," "Architectural Environment Design," and "Urban Planning." This was the first time an Olympiad in this track had been held. The need for this Olympiad had been discussed for some time, and we would like to thank our colleagues at NNGASU for the opportunity for students from leading Russian universities to compete and network.
The Olympiad was held in a three-day workshop/hackathon format, during which time teams had to solve a complex architectural problem involving the reconstruction of a historic quarter in Nizhny Novgorod and present their projects to a professional jury.
The KSUAE team, including Anastasia Luneva, Arina Nikolaeva, Ksenia Andreeva, and Kamila Safina, showed the best result! Our girls took FIRST PLACE!
Second place was shared between Volgograd State Technical University and Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin).
Third place went to Moscow State University of Civil Engineering and Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (MGSU) and Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The competition also included strong teams from Moscow Architectural Institute (Moscow), Penza State University of Architecture and Service Engineering (Penza), and Samara State Technical University (Samara), among others.
The KSUAE team was led by Associate Professor of the Architecture Department A.I. Ivantsov. Associate Professor of the RRANiOA Department A.T. Karimova also prepared the team for the Olympiad. We also thank A.I. Romanova, Director of the Institute of Architecture and Design, for her support of the Olympiad movement.
Well done, we are proud of you!
