Architect from Kazakhstan, professor of architecture Saken Narynov: “In KSUAE I saw the best that could be!”

On December 8, 2022, Honored Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of architecture, inventor Saken Zhomartovich Narynov visited KSUAE.

At KSUAE, the guest was demostrated the research and educational centers of the Institute of Architecture and Design: BFFT.space, Heritage / Miras, Archphysics with the laboratory Acoustics, ArchTEP, Urban Planning / Urban Planning.

At a meeting with the KSUAE authorities and academic staff Saken Narynov expressed great admiration for the multifaceted activities in creating and equipping university centers, innovative methods for training architects, a high level of design work, separately emphasized the skill of layouts, the use of various materials and technologies, and noted that “In KSUAE I saw the best that can be!”.

Then there was a lecture for students and teachers "The Magic of Saken Narynov's Architecture", during which Saken Zhomartovich introduced the audience to his many years of creative activity, realized and unrealized projects - winners of prestigious international competitions, inventions and, of course, his philosophy of understanding the world. S. Narynov's objects and projects were exhibited at more than 30 international exhibitions in Moscow (Russia), Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Osaka (Japan), Berlin (Germany), Lyon (France), Lima (Peru), Copenhagen (Denmark) and others. S.Zh. Narynov is the creator and head of the Design Forecasting Laboratory of the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan, head of the Kopkyrly (Multifaceted) workshop, professor at KazGASA, Honored Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Saken Zhomartovich introduced students and teachers of the Institute of Architecture and Education with his experimental concepts in the field of architecture and monumental sculpture and patented inventions. In particular, the students were impressed by the mobile three-dimensional housing block (1981 patent), ecological clay dwellings, the project of the Great Egyptian Museum in Giza and many other unique developments. Narynov's interdisciplinary design method, whose structures are not only functional, aesthetic objects, but also complex technical inventions, impressed students and their mentors. This meeting was not only an extremely useful educational event, expanding the ideas of future architects about the possibilities of the profession, but also a friendly dialogue with the master, who, despite his unique inventions and public recognition, remains an open, friendly and modest person.

The one and a half hour meeting with Saken Narynov was permeated with amazing energy, ingenious simplicity, incredible love for our guest's work.

Rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov took part in the International Forum dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage

On December 5, 2022, in Kazan, in the Big Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev, the opening of the International Forum dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage took place.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mintimer Shaimiev, Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Grigory Ordzhonikidze, delegations from a number of foreign states.

The Rector of KSUAE R.K. Nizamov took part in the international forum. The Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (the Convention), adopted by the 17th session of the UNESCO General Conference on November 16, 1972, is the most effective and representative among environmental conventions and programs. The main goal of the Convention is to unite the efforts of the international community to identify, protect and comprehensively support outstanding cultural monuments and natural objects on a global scale.

Students-architects of KSUAE won a regular award in the field of architecture of the hospitality industry Radical Innovation (USA)!

The results of the Radical Innovation international award in the field of hospitality and travel architecture have been summed up!

The competition is a professional one and it has gathered a whole community of like-minded people over the years. It is important that the competition jury is represented by the largest specialists in the hospitality industry, who represent billions in assets of this business sector.

Within the annual competition, one student project-winner is selected, and this year the students-architects of KSUAE became the prize-winners again! Ksenia Krepkogorskaya and Danil Nazarov, 4th year students, became the laureates of the award 2022 with a reward of $1500!

Under the guidance of teachers Ilnar and Rezeda Akhtyamovs, students prepared an interesting and relevant proposal - the creation of campsites with public infrastructure on the roofs of shopping centers. Incredibly, according to statistics, the area of ​​roofs of shopping centers in the states is comparable to the area of ​​such a state as the Republic of Singapore! Thus, the Shopping&Camping project proposes to take spaces out-of-use that society can benefit.

The project was presented at the awards ceremony, which traditionally takes place in New York, in the video format describing the project proposal of the authors. It should be noted that this is the third victory of KSUAE students in this competition, and in 2019 even Forbes online magazine wrote about our architects. KSUAE took part in the VIII International Conference "Technologies, organization and management in construction - 2022"

The scientific and practical conference "Training of specialists in the field of organizational and technological design and organization of construction" was held on October 26-27, 2022 at the MGSU University (Moscow). The event was held as part of the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Technologies, Organization and Management in Construction - 2022" (TOMiC-2022) and was organized for specialists from self-regulatory organizations involved in training in the field of technological design.

Within the conference, the experience of implementing bachelor's and specialist's programs in the field of "Construction" was discussed; master's programs in the area of "Construction"; postgraduate programs in the area of "Engineering and technology of construction".

The KSUAE representatives made their presentations at the conference.

Besides, within the framework of the conference, 3 scientific sections were held: "Technology and organization of construction"; "Management of the life cycle of construction objects"; "Organizational and technological aspects of the inspection of buildings and structures". At the scientific section "Technology and organization of construction" with the report "Methods for determining the duration of construction of industrial facilities" made a postgraduate student of the Department of TSP A.V. Yakubova (supervisor — R.A. Ibragimov). In the section "Organizational and technological aspects of the inspection of buildings and structures" with the report "Monitoring of reconstructed and under construction buildings using NLS devices" was made by the assistant of the Department of TSP I.Kh. Galiev (head - R.A. Ibragimov).
