Rector took part in the government meeting "Personnel for the Future"

On March 6, 2021 our Rector Prof. Rashit Nizamov participated in the working meeting "Personnel for the Future" that was held in Innopolis city.The meeting headliner was Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Kislyakov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oksana Tarasenko, as well as rectors of more than 200 Russian universities, representatives of large companies - Yandex, Mail.ru, Sberbank, X5 Retail Group, Russian Railways, Aeroflot and Rosatom, representatives of the expert community.

The meeting was dedicated to the tasks of updating educational programs of higher and secondary vocational education in order to train personnel for sectors of the economy, as well as mechanisms for eliminating the shortage of IT personnel with the help of state programs, including the federal project "Personnel for the Digital Economy". As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin has identified digital transformation as a national development goal until 2030. Within the framework of the national goal, it is necessary to achieve the fulfillment of four indicators: the "digital maturity" of key sectors of the economy and the social sphere, including healthcare and education, as well as public administration; to increase the share of mass socially significant services available in electronic form to 95%; 97% share of households that are provided with the possibility of broadband Internet access, as well as quadruple their investments in domestic IT solutions. A highly skilled IT workforce is required to accomplish these tasks.
